I have had the pleasure of seeing Erin live a few times while I was in Austin and I have to say that she is one of the few artists that sounds just as good live as they do in the studio. Her voice is charged with energy and takes total hold of you to the core when she sings. When Erin hits some of the more soulful notes I get chills through my entire body.

This album is a must have for anyone.

I've been a fan of Erin's since The 11th Floor album, and Broken Gold goes further in establishing her as a soulful, intriguing songwriter capable of developing a signature sound with a full band. My favorite songs on the record include "Sorrow No More," "Amelia," "Broken Gold" and "You Got Your Wishes Wrong" -- in these as well as the other songs, she always brings strong melodies in whatever influence she's drawing from: folk, pop, R&B, reggae, even hip-hop. All this without even mentioning her beautiful voice! Check it out, you won't be disappointed -- it's a very groovy, pleasurable album with songs that will stay with you.
