My best friend is going through a time of separation and most probably divorce. After getting Linda's book, I rushed it to my friend with an encouraging word. "This neither promotes divorce nor staying together. It's just to get you through THIS hard time." She called a few days later. "This has helped save my sanity," she said. "I have wept and I have found peace. That's what I need most of all; peace."

Linda's words are penned not from interviews but from first-hand knowledge. These are truly HER words. I have had the blessing and joy of watching her take journals of hard and trying days and turn them into words of hope and healing. This work is truly superb.

We live in an era when divorce is on the rise and yet no one wants to address the core of hurt: the heart. So many books are written about how to simply carry on...when to date again...how to get credit in your name. All important stuff! But what about the healing of the heart?

And what if...what if???...God is doing a work that will change the course of your life in oh, so many ways? Is it possible to wrap your mind around that while trying to deal with so much other stuff?

As a marriage seminar speaker, I am always on the lookout for fresh approaches to the topic of marriage. BHOH is not just another marraige book. It is a close friend with love and compassion for the heartbroken, it is the trusted mentor with wisdom for the struggling-to-hold-it-together, and it is the voice of experieince tenderly calling you to take one more step of faith. There are no pat answers here, no quick and easy solutions. Whether you are hurting in your own marriage, or need that "I'm here and I care about you" gift for a friend who is hurting, I highly recommend Broken Heart on Hold. I will at my marriage seminars and I'm certain it will soon become a favorite of marraige counselors everywhere.

During the most difficult time of my life, this book became a best friend. Linda described the multitude of emotions I feel in a way I could not, and showed me that she has been where I am now. Her insight and her faith gave me renewed hope, and I found comfort reading her book. When I am down, I open it and read. When I am confused, I open it and read. When I am ready to throw in the towel, I open it and read. It has never failed to help me. When everyone around me pressured for divorce, (the world's way), she showed me God's way. I am so very thankful to Linda Rook for sharing her experience and her insight with others who are hurting. If you are faced with a broken marriage and living with a broken heart, you need this book!
