Let's start off by stating that the word SOUNDTRACK should *not* be appearing on the cover of this CD. The term "false advertising" readily comes to mind. There are only four (very) short songs from the movie, one of which --Learn To Love-- is remixed to the point of being unrecognizable. Where are the Sammy Davis and Lou Bega tracks? What happened to "Sing A Song"? Where's "I'll Be There For You" by Solid Harmonie?

I bought this CD so I could have a copy of "Top Of The World" by Shonen Knife, a song that is prominently featured in the film. According to the commentary on the DVD, the director himself stated that he'd always wanted to use "Top Of The World" in a film and that he was especially pleased with the Shonen Knife cover version. SO WHY ISN'T IT ON THIS SOUNDTRACK ALBUM????? Instead, we're subjected to remixed-to-death versions of dance songs that have nothing to do with the movie whatsoever and that have already appeared countless times on so many other compilations. Many of these horrid tracks are presented here in their most tiresome and boring mixes. I'm a huge dance music fan, but this album is one major snorefest! Besides, if I had wanted a dance music mix CD, I would have bought that.

And, for the record, the Giorgio Moroder track is only 3 minutes long...a far cry from the 10-minute version someone else here is claiming.

Avoid this CD. The producers and manufacturer should be ashamed for foisting this garbage on an unsuspecting public. A complete waste of money.

Why is this album called a soundtrack? Many of the tracks that were featured in the film were "mixed" to death so as to be unrecognizable and four tracks weren't even heard in the film, but were included in this album. And some of the music from the film never made it onto the album at all ("Such a Lot of Living", the piano music during the softball games, the cover of "Top of the World").
No soundtrack I ever bought was subjected to such a hatchet job. Maybe the producers should have called it "A couple of tunes from 'The Broken Hearts Club'"--that's about right!

As another reviewer mentioned, this is one big BAD cliché . Some of these songs aren't even in the picture! As anyone knows, music sets the mood of a film. I bought this soundtrack because I liked that mood, but that's not what I got. Instead its oneTRULY AWFUL dance mix after another. DULL DULL DULL. If you're looking for any of the songs from this film, better to find them somewhere else.

I love the mix of songs on this soundtrack, especially the two soulful covers (Close to You, We've Only Just Begun) by Mary Beth Maziarz. Her voice is awesome; I picked up the CD just for those--and the dancy stuff ain't bad, neither!

This soundtrack is really fun-great party/club music from Barry Harris and Kim English. There are also some cute Carpenter covers. I only wish it had the Lou Bega song from the film-oh well...There is also a full club version of Danny Teneglia meets Giorgio Merado-almost ten minutes long!

Does anyone know what the piano music was during the first baseball scene. I think is was Scarlatti? Anyone? Thanks.

Yawn. Cliches galore fill the soundtracks to all "gay" films. Apparently every gay male worships disco and dance music and does nothing but part and dance, dance and party. Maybe one day there will be such a movie and soundtrack that will ignore all the tired old stereotypes, but this isn't it. Same old, same old.

This is a great cd, it is fun and enjoyable to listen to. the best songs on this cd are all of them. If you have not listened to this cd then i recommend you do

Let the music play! Thats all I have to say! Worth getting the CD just for that.

This soundtrack is packed with tons of fun party music. Club favorites and a couple sweet ballads. Much like the "TRICK" soundtrack-with more recent club songs and the classic from the Miracles-"Love Machine"!!!
