I have one tip when you are reading this book suspect the one you would least suspect!!! I like thius book beacuse it is a suspence thing and if you want that in a book I really recomend it. The suspects motives may be weird but that makes it a good book read slow and you might pick up on the Murderer...

Josie's life has never been the same ever since her twin sister Rachel fell of a horse and got brain damage. But now Josie's life has changed even more. Someone is sending her threatening valentines. Josie hopes these valentines are just a prank. They're not. There really is a Valentine's Day killer out there who wants Josie dead.

I would've given this book five stars except for two reasons. The first one is that many questions are not answered at the end of the book. The second one is that any R.L. Stine fan knows that the obvious isn't the killer. The killer is pretty obvious, although they're not the number one suspect. If you ignore all of that stuff, the book is very good. And don't read the book because the summary on the back seems interesting. It's very misleading. If you read the book, you'll know what I mean.

Oh, and there is a short cameo by Cory Brooks. Cory starred in "The New Girl," the first ever Fear Street book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mind Blowing...., June 5, 2003
It's the best book I have read so far.I have read a lot of R.l Stine books but this one is the best.Even in my wildest dreams I couldn't think......to be the murderer.I really hated Josie for ruining Rachel's life and so did someone else . After reading this book I found out that my nails weren't at a good shape cause I kept biting them. All Fearstreet fans should read this.

Whoa! This book really makes me wonder what will happen in the next chapter. I just can't seem to stop reading until I've to finish it till the end. Warning...if you're one of that type of a scardy-kat person, don't read at night coz it really would gives you a nightmare! But, if you think you got the gut, go ahead and read it coz it sure is an awesome story.

**Advice to all the boys out there...neva eva break your gf's heart, girls neva eva break your bf's heart coz you neva know what can happen to you ^_~

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, March 25, 2000
This review is from: Broken Hearts (Fear Street Super Chillers, No. 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a really good book. It was very well written. One of the best of Fear Street. The ending was very unexpected. In the beginning, there's an awful accident, and Rachel isn't the same anymore. Then one of the girls starts getting threatening Valentines. They say she's going to die on Valentines Day... will she? Or is it just a prank? Read this fantastic book and find out!

This was the greatest book I have read in a long time. It was a really creepy ending and sort of sad. I also think it was her sisters fault. I mean she robed her out of her opportunities and dreams. Even if she did feal guilty that was no reason to do all the thinhgs she did. I also cried at the ending when she said" I did this for you, Rachel." and how they explain that she didn't want to be saved. I also felt really bad for Rachel when the second part started and she only had her younger sister for a friend. It made it even worse in the ending when she dosent have anyone but them.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book I've Ever Read!, April 25, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Broken Hearts (Fear Street Super Chillers, No. 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was absolutely wonderful! It has inspired me to read more of R.L. Stine's thrillers. I think it was a kind of romantic story with a deadly twist. I reccomend this book to all young adults! I just want to read it over and over again. This book is about a family who has a tradgedy that changes their lives forever. Then Josie and Melissa start receiving threating valentines, that slowly come true. It's beautifully written and you'll fall in love with the characters. It also keeps you in suspence from chapter to chapter. I loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT AN AAWWEESSOOMME BOOK!, March 13, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Broken Hearts (Fear Street Super Chillers, No. 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
HI! My name is Katie! This is what I think of this awesome book! WWOOWWWWWW! This was such an AWESOME book! I read it over and over! Now, I am not that big of a reader, unless it's about either horses OR a horror/mystery. This book really got me going! It was so fun to think of what was going to happen when you pick the book back up after you put it down. I gave it to all my friends to read. It was THAT GREAT! It's about these high-school girls who are ssoooo freaked out because they are getting these death-threatning letters, which say they will die on Valentine's day. Well, I won't tell you if they accually die or not, but if you really want to know, you have to read it. Well, anyway, so they're getting all these scary letters, and then, the murders begin. Begin with who? Read it! I swear, I would've never in a million years have guessed who the killer was, ontil I finally read it and found out! I hope you do the same! This was a fun book to read and I encourage you to read it, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best in the series, September 18, 2005
This review is from: Broken Hearts (Fear Street Super Chillers, No. 4) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this and a bunch of other books in the Fear Street series about nine years ago. I picked this book up again(out of boredom) and realized what a great job Mr. Stine did! He actually took time to flesh his characters out, and got into their personal lives (Easy to do in a novel, really hard to do in a series with new characters in each book, which is why the Superchillers are the best in the Fear Street series hands down). Anyone who thinks the Fear Street series was never interesting even when the series was new, might find they were a little hasty after checking out "Broken Hearts".
