In a time of this crumbling of my universal core, I seem to be at it alone. It's not that no one cares...they just don't understand. I self reflect and find myself constantly evolving emotionally, mentally. I question and challenge myself because I know it can all the something different...I feel it deep within my bones. When we search for any truths, whether about ourselves or another aspect of our world..we stand the risk of having to walk that road alone..at least for most of it. This album is your guide to survive that leg of it and prepare you for the next unknown.

i will call this a fireside album, because that seems the most appropriate listening spot. these songs are all acoustic and relatively simple, but Mike's gravelly self-harmonized croon will make you swoon like a school girl. many of the songs sound similar, but does that really matter when they're all good? there are a few real gems, and at least one song has some direct lyrical references to Gunmoll's (Mike's previous band) last cd Board of Rejection, which i recommend as well.

be sure to check out his myspace ([...]) for the song "Leatherface Fan," which was not included on this cd for some reason.

Wow. This album is a must. Heavy and deep on the lyrics. Simple and pleasing guitar riffs. In my opinion, one of the best releases of 2008.

I have this album on vinyl and it did not come with a lyric sheet. My only hope is the CD version comes with lyrics.
