This CD is great for the long time Northstar fans. It's such an interest compilation of songs that have a rawer recording. The Piano Jam and Black Heart Valentine instrumentals really add a new edge to Northstar. They take a gloomier and vivid approach to redefine the sound that we have come to love. These versions are definitely awesome. The whole reason that I downloaded the CD was because of the Jaw Breaker's cover "Chesterfield King". Wow. The alternate versions of songs are broken down and have a home recording feeling. Not a reduction in sound quality, but a less polished studio effect.

You really need to get this CD to understand why Northstar was one of the greatest indie rock bands ever. It's versatile notes will serenade you and rekindle the sparks of an otherwise disappearing feeling. Good job on this one guys!!
