Broken Promise Land being Weeping Willows debut album and their 1997 release and is album that mixes the sounds of Indie Rock, Indie Pop and Country Rock. The vocals of Magnus Carlson is very reminiscent of singers and crooners from the 50's and 60's and he does sound a bit like Chris Isaak. The booklet is a work of art with amazing photographs of the band. All lyrics are included but not a list of whom plays what. "So it's over" is a great track and so is "Blue and Alone". 4/5.
