The Making of "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray" (Part 1)

Biography

Change isn’t easy. But Seether vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Shaun Morgan understands that nothing worth accomplishing ever is. “When I was in rehab in 2006,” he recalls, embracing a sense of humorous selfawareness that comes with hindsight, “I learned that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” In other words: evolution is key not… Read more in Amazon's Seether Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Broken Rocks!, February 7, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Broken (Audio CD)
This is absolutely THE song to listen to. Seether is an awesome and incredibly talented rock band that doesn't get as much praise as they should. They teamed up with Amy Lee from Evanescence (by far and away THE best rock band EVER!) to sing this incredibly wonderful rock ballad. This is my absolute favorite song right now and probably will be for some time. It's just one of those songs that won't get out of my head (in a good way.) I am very much so looking forward to both bands followup albums!

Broken is an awesome song. It's a collaboration between Seether and Amy Lee from Evanasance. It's a well written, played, and sung song. This also happens to be the only other way of getting it if you don't buy the Punisher soundtrack.

Amy Lee has the best vocals in Rock right now. I love hearing this woman sing. It's a shame that Moody left there band and that they are on hold right now. Despite that she made herself another hit with this song. I love it when her and the lead guy from Seether are singing the chorus together. Duets aren't something we see enough of anymore in Rock.

The song is just awesome. It's hard and soft in all the right places. It's gotten a ton of Radio play and Video play. Rightfully so because this song should of.

If you like Seether or Evanasance you won't regret picking this one up. It's a great song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Break more tracks, April 27, 2005
This review is from: Broken (Audio CD)
Amy Lee and Seether make an excellent duo, and the vocals of Amy Lee and Shaun Morgan together, with incredible drums in the background, create an incredible rock sound. The infectious rock sound and tunes in the song make it eveything someone would expect from Seether and Evanescence's singer, Amy Lee.

Perhaps because Amy Lee and Shaun Morgan are dating perhaps it is a sign we may see more excellent duo's, or perhaps even, a duo album - imagine 'Fallen' and 'Karma and Effect' as one album. Brilliant guitars, drums, vocals, the whole package.

This single is definitely worth the money, so be prepared to reward your ears with no doubt, one of the best rock songs currently selling.
