5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars? More like 500!!!!!!!, September 27, 2001

This review is from: Broken Sky, No. 7 (Paperback)
Broken Sky is one of my favourite series (even though the reading level is grade 5 and I'm fourteen :). I found this to be an excellent book but not a very good ending for the series.

Ryushi is now bonded with Araceil and is devoting almost all his time to sharpening his flying skills while Calica has to make an important decision, that could mean the end of the keriags. Hochi is still trying to figure out that mystery of the pendant given to him by tochaa while each of them silently mourn the deaths of their friends, Elani, Peliqua and Kia.
But a girl is found in the desert. Mi'atte, she is called, and she knows not of the life she must've once had. She only knows the dark, wet mines where she spends most of her days. But someone is leaving her little clues, clues that make her yearn for her lost memories, clues that make her want to escape. . .

This is filled with action, fantasy and interesting character development. But, as said before, this is not a good ending book! It seems unfinished, but I asked Chris Wooding to write another and he said it wouldn't happen. too bad. well, hope you enjoy this book!

This is one great book, but don't read it unless you've read 1-4, because you need the info from those books so your not too confused. Ryushi, along with Whist, continues his quest for revenge on his brother, Takami, for betraying Parakka and killing his father. Ryushi wants revenge, but he is not blinded by it, and he is being very careful, espesially since the untrustworthy and dangerous Whist is leading the way. But it turns out that Ryushi isn't careful enough, and he soon finds himself a prisoner of Takami. But, strangely enough, Ryushi gets what he wants: a one-on-one battle with Takami without either of them using spirit stones. But will Takami play fair? Meanwhile, in the unclaimed lands, Kia and the others await an answer from the Koth Taraan on if they will help, Hochi tries do discover the true meaning of broken sky. All the Koth Macquai told them was that it meant "divion with the eventual hope of unity." The Parakkans discover that one of them will have to take a test to find if the Koth Taraan will help or not. Kia rises to the challange immediatly. She is told soon after that it will be a challange of charactor, and that she will discover new information. But what does this mean...

5.0 out of 5 stars John's Review, February 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Broken Sky: #02 (Paperback)
I think Broken Sky is a very good book, with all the elements that makes a book great to read. I would definitely recommend this book to those that like action \ fantasy. The book is about two twins, Ryushi and Kia, and how they are thrown into an awkward position, where they lose their home, family, and friends. So they join rebels in a rebellion against the evil king that took all of that away from them.
