This review is from: Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (PC) (CD-ROM)
I just played this game for the first time and it's great! A classic adventure with great humor and good challenging gameplay. Much better than the 3rd game in the series, "Broken Sword: Sleeping Dragon."

Positive:

These games will always be a beloved part of my childhood. If I am ever talented enough to create my own Adventure game I will pay a trubute to this series.

Age range: 12 and up is best

Some of the humor will be lost on a young audience, but the characters are quite amusing. When I was little I enjoyed the fact that there are actually consequences for making the wrong decision! the "Dead screen" was a reminder to think! Some of the scenes are mildly frightening and there may be a bit of suggestive content, but most children will not pick up on this.

Usability: 5/5
The interface of the game is simple enough for a child, but the puzzles are often quite challenging. All that you have to do is point and click! Occasionally time will be of the essence, but it is not troubling.

Replay value: 4/5
I will replay the game if I forget how to solve the problems.

Negative:

It is dissapointing that the first game will not run on Vista. The second game is fine. This series is still great! It is one of the best adventure games I have played despite this.

If you have a small amount of RAM this game may run a tad slowly.

Some of the characters are a bit typical, but others are quirky and amusing. My favorite character was always the sharp and perceptive Nico.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good game repackaged, September 2, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (PC) (CD-ROM)
This is great stuff! but be aware that it's actually "Broken Sword: Circle of Blood" retitled. As others say, it's well worth the minimal price and a fine game; I wish the latest Broken Sword had been half this good.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, March 1, 2007

I never thougt I would be so hocked in a so *old fashoned* game, it is 2D, and it is like a cartoon.
But my heavens what a game, George who is the main character, is the funniest guy ever, and all the silly coments he say make me giggle no mather how many times I hear them.
A really cool game, and the best part is that you have to think to win the game, something different from todays games.

I loved it, and I know you will too, have fun!!!!!!!!

P.S SAVE OFTEN!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game, November 26, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

The cover of the game is misleading. I expected it to be morbid and frightening when actually the game was lighthearted, entertaining, a little educational and sometimes downright funny.
