While Shattered Realm has always been known for their heaviness I think what truly makes this band stand apart from the rest of the pack is the vocals. Drawing on what seems to be more of a death metal, than hardcore influence, the vocals will punish you just as much as any breakdown. It's nice to hear a change of pace from the norm. If you want to play breakdown ridden hardcore, this is the band you're chasing.
Musically this is the heaviest release the hardcore scene has received in a long time. Returning with two old favorites, and 8 new ones, Shattered Realm is here to do one thing, make you move. Each track is assured to make you two-step or make you kick box like you never have before. The two returning tracks, This World Is Mine and All Will Suffer, sound much this time around which is a plus, considering a lot of bands can't recreate what the had the first time. There are also some nice metal riffs on the album, showing the Shattered Realm is not just a hardcore band, but that they have other influences. The most noticeable track has to be "The April Situation" which has an acoustic break and some clean vocals. This was a surprise by a welcomed one I must say. The bottom line is this; this CD will make you move, whether you want to or not.

If you like Hatebreed, Irate, Internal Bleeding, or any other band that's all about the breakdowns and brutal vocals, look no further than this cd. Tough guy lyrics, slow, slower, and super-slow breakdowns abound, and super-death growl vocals make this cd a must-have. Make this a top priority... buy nothing before this disc. Go hungry if that's what it takes

Shattered realm are one of my personal favorite hardcore bands they along with, back of tha neck, terror/buried alive, blood for blood, madball, full blown chaos, 100 demons, old hatebreed, first blood, all hell breaks loose, and what weapons bring war are some of the most angry and violent bands out there, but anyway this cd rips and the songs all will suffer and this world is mine are my favorites on this cd. Buy this if you like any of the bands listed or if you want to beat the s@#t outta someone then this is your soundtrack.

Shattered Realm is the new breed of hardcore. Toughest breakdowns in the scene. Not one thing wrong with this cd at all. Make sure to check out All Will Suffer, This World Is Mine, and Showdown. They're tracks 7, 3, and 1. I think they even break the barriers of being tougher and better than Hatebreed.
