Excellent Mandoline,
By Vera Lynn "VLizzle" (Medford, MA USA) - See all my reviews to ensure that I would be protected from any potential injuries. Using a mandoline requires your total attention and I feel much more comfortable with the added safety of these gloves. Gotta go -- making some cole slaw!!

Very well constructed and sturdy. Non-slip feet work great. Super for making easy chips or fries, or other julienned veggies. Instructions are clear. The lower blade, the corrugated one, only produces thin slices (@2-3 mm), so getting fancy with thicker slices is not possible. Box is sturdy enough for closet storage, as we don't have very much counter space. Easy to clean with spray washer and/or dish brush.

When we decided to get a mandoline, we knew we wanted something heavy and sturdy enough for large jobs. Both of us have restaurant experience so we knew the danger of putting a sharp blade into a flimsy, unstable box. This madoline fits the bill perfectly. The razor-sharp blades are contained within the frame and come with well-fitting protective covers. The thickness adjustment levers are sturdy and well-built. Once you set your slicing thickness, there's no slippage and we just ran through a couple of pounds of potatoes on the straight and julienne edges (comes with 2 of those) as well as a pound of carrots on the wavy (waffle) edge. The food to be sliced glides down the madoline on a tray that fits rail-like onto the box which keeps the pressure evenly distributed and ensures slices of uniform thickness as well as keeping your hands away from the blades. The safety knob on top of this tray screws on securely with 3 stainless-steel screws and it was a cinch to put it together. The legs on this puppy are sturdy with rubber ends so they don't slip, even when set up on one of our half-sheet pans. No food stuck in little crevices and the mandoline cleaned up easily with a little soap, hot water and a pot brush. I know it's dishwasher safe, but we always wash anything with blades by hand and get them put away asap.
This isn't a small tool (that's why we set it up on a half-sheet pan) and won't fit into most household bowls but that wasn't an issue for us. If you're looking for a great mandoline that cuts effectively and safely, this one's for you. A keeper all the way around.
