I can't begin to express how distasteful this book is. If it is trying to be funny, it should try a little harder, in my own opinion -- and cease with the vile, nightmare-ish illustrations that make me want to launch a protest against the publisher. It is especially an outrage that they would think children as young as preschool would benefit from this.

What it comes down to is this: if you think your child will enjoy seeing images of dismembered and dead human bodies (including the ripped-off arm of a person with the bone hanging out from beneath the skin), piles of human skeletons all with terrified expressions, or a half-eaten human dangling from a dinosaur's mouth, then by all means, this is the perfect book for your child.

Or if you think your young child will find it delightfully funny to see pictures of a dinosaur vomiting or defecating, yes -- buy this book. Might want to buy them a few DVDs like Terminator 2: Judgment Day, while you're at it. (Hope you're noting the sarcasm there.)

But for those of us who don't like that sort of thing for our children, you might want to steer clear of it.

Where should I start? The dismembered human limbs sticking out of the mouth of a T-Rex? The piles of human skeletons in the same picture? The brontosaurus vomiting and sitting on the john?

Truly rotten book. Whoever decided this ought be published...go haze yourself.

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm asking the library to pull this one.

This book arrivied on time. It was brand new and my grandchilren love it. They were so happy to receive it. Thank you.
