My wife and I were tired of our 20-year old and battered garden shovels and forks. When I saw this set I was amazed by the price. We recieved them promptly and they look and feel beautiful. I happen to know that stainless steel comes in many qualities and I have no way to know how they will hold up. But it gave my wife and I reason to look forward to the Spring thaw in Chicagoland. That's probably worth the price alone.

One more thing. I sure wish that these tools were made in America. While I support free trade and admire the great country of China, I'm growing tired of the fact that every product on my shelf says Made in China. It's scary.

B&H have two versions of these tools, the "edge" tools are smaller, but these are the "digging" versions which are bigger and more normal. This is exactly what I was looking for, and now that I own them I can report they are of good quality.

Worth every penny! True stainless, not a spot of rust on them, handles strong and blades sharp. I used to have plain'ol tools from WalMart, and i had to hammer and sharpen my shovel every other month, these are not like that at all.

These shovels are very well made. They were the perfect christmas gift for my gardener mom.

These are top quality tools, great fit and finish, beautiful wood, very sturdy yet light, the polished stainless steel slips throught topsoil with ease and rinses off easily as well. I rammed the shovel tip into a hidden rock at full swing with my 225lbs behind it, and fully expected to have put a ding in it, but it didn't even nick the edge. I expect to get a lifetime of use out of these tools and leave them to my daughter in good condition. An excellent value.

These three tools seem very well made. I haven't owned them long enough to know how stainless the stainless steel is, but aside from that they are great. The D-Y handle is very comfortable and the socketed construction seems built to last. Plus they have a lifetime replacement guarantee if they were to fail.

I was banking on the tools not being the smaller version Amazon has pictured, so I was pleased that they were the full-sized ones.

Having only ever used a shovel, I'm still not quite clear on when the spade is more advantageous to use, but still these are a great deal. I would rather buy one set of quality tools than 5 sets of stamped sheet metal ones that fall apart from the big box stores.
