This was an "OK" film....Not a classic by any means, but pleasantly entertaining. Chris Rock, Rosie Perez were especially effective. Spike Lee....he was near unintelligible, very difficult to follow. Nelson George, of course, is a brilliant individual.

What really bothered me though, as the word "gentrification" started peppering this film, was why in the heck didn't the "Spike Lees", "Chris Rocks", "Wesley Snipes" (et al) pool their damn money - after they Made it Big- and buy-up as much *property* and businesses as possible? Spike himself could have bought at least ten (10) of those brownstones and rented them out to *other* up-and-coming (Black) artists, young, responsible (Black) families, etc.
