Opening day hit,

I read this book to my first graders every year on opening day. For years Washington did not have a baseball team and I did what I could to make the sport come alive for them. We read numerous baseball books that day and this was a perennial favorite. A good book to show them what it was like in a bygone era. Glad I have a copy!
