I discovered this book at a thrift shop and was very surprised and pleased. Its 200+ pages provide a great history lesson on Brooklyn and describes nicely all the nuances of its neighborhoods. The pictures and photos are great. This book is definitely a keeper! I will definitely look for the author's other book on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Bottom line: a quality, pleasant portrayal of Brooklyn. It seems criminal for this book to be out of print!! |
