5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Shoe
This is a great light running shoe. The cushioning is just right without Having a bulky sole. I like the fact that the heel is not as built up as most trainers without scrificing forefoot cushioning. The sprung toe and lower heel give it a racy feeling. This would be a great marathon racing shoe for heavier or slower runners. Very nice!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite what I've come to expect
I've been a big fan of Brooks shoes for the last couple of years. Loved both the Radius and Glycerine, as they just seemed to fit my foot perfectly. The Ghost, however, has a larger toebox and seems to sit up a little higher at the heel. Did a half marathon in them and ended up with 3 purple toenails. They're comfortable shoes, they just don't seem to have the same...

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully versatile..., August 30, 2009
I use mine for both tempo runs and speedwork on concrete/asphalt, and for long slow runs of up to 15-20 miles. Even though this shoe is only 1-2 ounces lighter than your typical trainer (e.g. my Brooks Infiniti) it FEELS lighter and faster, somehow. Probably due to the cushioning being softer, and the sprung toe (curving upwards). The heel also seems to be slightly lower than in traditional trainers.

It's not quite as light as the new Brooks Launch which will be my next shoe, but a good in-between shoe.

I'm not crazy about the red and gold trim on this model but oh well. The important thing is that it's quite comfortable; I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual on the advice of several websites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking forward to many miles on this shoe, August 12, 2008
I just got these shoes and my first impressions are: Wow, great cushioning. They have been a real pleasure to run in. The shoes have great ventilation (a big plus for me as my feet always have heat and perspiration issues.) The upper shoe is mostly mesh with just the right amount of structure to support the laces - yet not so much as to affect breath-ability. I am fortunate that the sport's store personnel knew enough to put me onto these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoe, November 11, 2010

These have been the best running shoes that I have used... I bought the pair from Amazon after wearing out my original Ghost running shoe. Got them at a better price than I originally paid for them, unfortunately they are being discontinued.

4.0 out of 5 stars brooks ghost - shoe of choice, March 3, 2010
Fits the narrow, neutral foot well and is light and airy. Still provides enough cushion to avoid sore knees.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work out for me, September 9, 2009
I liked the shoes, but started with knee problems soon after beginning training with them. The doctor told me to return to my former brand, so I never really got to use them very much.
