Brooks Saddles B68 S Aged is comfortable from day one thanks to the softer leather. It is the ideal saddle for modern full suspension city bikes. This range has been recently added to the Brooks Heritage selection to address the needs of those cyclists who are eager to ride on a Leather Saddle, but disincline to take time to gain the lifetime comfort of our traditional models. The Aged Saddles have skillfully blended oils and waxes, massaged into the hide. This vegetable tanned leather guarantees a softer saddle from the very first ride. The saddle weighs 530 grams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best saddle I've found, December 28, 2009
This review is from: Brooks Saddles B68 S Bicycle Saddle (Women's) (Sports)
I have very wide sitbones (measured @ 172mm!) and this is the first saddle I've used that felt great right from the start (I did have another that just barely fit me, but getting the position and angle right seemingly took forever). Plus, this saddle has none of that nonsense cushy padding that causes soft tissue pain and soreness after long rides, it just offers firm support in all the right places, and almost disappears underneath you, no matter how long your ride is. Being a t-shaped saddle, leg comfort is not sacrificed for width either - I've had no rubbing on my legs at all.

I wish I had just bought a brooks to start with - I could have saved myself a lot of discomfort and frustration!

Worth every penny.

I am a woman with not much "junk in the trunk," yet my sitz bones seem to be very far apart. I have a flat-bar road bike, and tried several different women-specific saddles, including ones with gel, yet even riding for 10 minutes was excruciating - my seat bones were basically hanging off the sides of the seat.

I went for the B68-S instead of the B17 to get the widest saddle possible. When I received it, I conditioned it with neutral Kiwi shoe polish as suggested by other Brooks users. For the first few days, my sitz bones felt very tender against the stiff leather, but at least I wasn't resting on the central soft tissue anymore.

It broke in after 1 week, and suddenly felt AMAZING. No more pain - very highly recommended!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Old style, new comfort, November 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This Brooks bike saddle is a very "old idea" built by the British many years before I was even born, but the need for comfort on a bike saddle has never changed. This saddle did not dissapoint right out of the box. It resides on a new Cannondale comfort bike now, even though it was originally purchased to make an antique Raleigh authentic.

I bought the ladies S model because it was wider. That was one of my better ideas.
