Militry runner who puts on 20 plus miles a week. These shoes offer great support and comfort for the long mile runner.

Brooks is always my favorite brand, I read lots of bad reviews for this shoes but I thought, let's try this shoes. I love this show and I never had any problem in running after having this shoes. It's very light and comfortable during long run. I had my 2E wide shoes but this one is lot better than the previous one.

Shoes exactly as described at a good price. True to size and comfort. Good selection of Brooks athletic shoes at Amazon.

Got the trance 9's at a steep discount. Sent back immediately. To narrow bad fit. Average shoe. Waited for the Trance 10 which have now been released and its the best running shoe I own. Brooks beast new model just behind it. I own the Nike vomero the Nike equalon 4 asics gel kinetics and NB 1906 and 1226.
My advice is the new DNA technology in the Brooks new releases is phenomenal. It adjust to you impact and weight. If you over pronate get the beast with the DNA logo or if neutral to mild over pronator get the trance 10. It;s not worth trying to get the discount on the older model unless you just want to walk and kick around. Buy a wider width with either 9 or 10. I've been on a 2 month search and have used at least 10 different shoes from various manufacturers. Never tried Brooks until recently. These shoes rock. Go for the 10 or the beast. Guaranteed you will love them.

These shoes are very soft and light, I got them because my friend recommended. I'm slim and fit so not to worry about protecting my back. It feels good running but its very difficult to clean it. It's newer shoes but look old because not easey to clean them.

Brooks make the best running shoes. I have flat feet with falling arches and the shoes have perfect support. They last several hundred miles.

I loved my Trance 7s, but they've changed the design of the Trance 9s to make them bad for people with flat feet.

If you look at the shoe, you can see that where the 7s are nearly flat, the 9s have added a plastic arch. I have flat feet and wear orthotics. The 7s were good because they matched the shape of my foot. The 9s are bad because the raised plastic arch mashes into my foot with every step. After running three miles, my feet were killing me. I switched back to my 7s, and my feet didn't hurt. Fortunately, the store took back my 9s and I bought a different brand of shoe that more closely matched the basic design of the old 7s.

If you've liked the Trance brand in the past because they work well with your flat feet, the new Trance 9s probably won't work for you any more. If you have naturally high or normal arches, then maybe the new Trances will fit your feet better than the old versions. I was very disappointed that Brooks decided to change the shoe so much.
