After a nasty, catastrophic injury to one of my feet, my orthopedic surgeon made it clear to me that my life would be hell if I didn't stop wearing inexpensive (but super cute!) shoes. I got a pair of orthotics and a prescription (no joke) for shoes with decent support. Off I went sulking to the support shoe store. After trying on just about every pair of shoes in the store and falling in love with a pair that wasn't really suitable, I reluctantly bought the Brooks Addiction with the velcro strap. I just hate tie shoes. I walked in them for about a week. And now I'm in love.

These shoes are so comfortable they make me want to cry for all the years I spent abusing my feet with cheap, poorly made shoes. They aren't a pretty shoe, in fact they're kind of clunky. But trust me, you forget about that when you've worn them for about a week, because they are so very, very comfy. They have a nice high toe box, and a firm base, the velcro tightens at just the right places, and even with my orthotics in they fit perfectly. I'm in love with them. Really. I've asked them to marry me, but being shoes, they tend to be a bit coy. I'm buying another pair. I'm sure it won't be my last.

I get these for my mom (72) who loves the fact she can practically put on the shoes, strap the v-straps and go. They are light, supportive and easy to put on/take off. I purchase them for her every two years and will continue to do so for as long as she's willing to continue to do her morning walks.

I ordered white. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Love the straps, they are so much easier to close and can tighten them with just a pull. I do a lot of walking and they are great. I will buy them again.

I am a loyal customer of Brooks shoes and have been for years. I can't gush enough over them. They understand how to create a quality shoe, and the fact that there ARE women out there who have big feet with healthy toe spreads!

I was recommended to Brooks years ago by both my chiropractor and my orthopedist. I don't wear anything else but my Addictions because I have orthotics and as I said, big feet with a wide toe spread. My feet simply won't FIT in anything else comfortably without the cost of suffering. It takes weeks for my feet to recover if my neuromas are aggravated. I've never had a problem with the Addictions. I have walked all over Disneyland and up and down the Grand Canyon trails in them for days without a problem.

I also go shoe shopping once every 1.5 to 2 years. That's because my Brooks Addictions don't wear out till then! That is with DAILY average use, plus, 1 hour daily walking with the dog for exercise, PLUS day hiking on weekends and hiking vacations. This is one TOUGH shoe. Which is great because I HATE shoe shopping, LOL!

So whether you are a runner, a walker, have medical issues, hate shoe shopping, need a work shoe, or just want the best value for your money, you will find it in Brooks shoes. They are worth every penny.

I have the lace up version I bought from the shoe store. I wanted black too so I bought the same size and width from Amazon thinking they would fit the same as the pair from the shoe store. This new pair with the V Strap, even though they are the same size and width is not the same as the lace up version. Maybe factory seconds? They just don't fit like the pair I bought from the shoe store.

I love Brooks shoes. Brooks shoes are the only shoes I have ever purchased that I don't have to go through a "break-in" period. I love every pair I have purchased and will continue to purchase them in the future.

These are great walking shoes. The size was accurate. They are very comfortable, and the support makes it like walking on air. O My favorite part is the Velcro which is a senior's best friend. I love the shoes !!!

This is my third pair of Brooks and as always---they feel great! I don't know why I bother trying other shoes for work when I know these are the best. But I have to try something new, waste my money, and then get what I should of gotten to start with---another pair of Brooks.

I ordered the size I've been wearing for over 30 years. On a medium shoe, I usually have an issue with the shoe being a bit too wide. On this shoe, I was not able to completely cover the velcro on the strap nearest my ankle. I should know better than to order shoes online with a chance that I'll have to pay return shipping, as I will here!

I purchsed these shoes and immediately returned them. The tongue is thick and bulky and put painful pressure on my metatarcils. The shoes were also very bulky and made my feet look two sizes larger.
I was really hopeful that these shoes would be the ONES.
