We went to a boutique running shoe store to get a great running shoe. The store measured pressure points electronically (you could see where your feet put pressure when standing and walking). This was used by the salesman to advise us of the most appropriate shoe.

We bought one for $115. We were advised that it is best to have a running shoe reserved only for running. However these shoes are so comfortable, that my spouse wanted another pair for walking around. The exact same shoe was available here on Amazon for $99.

If you need good arch support, these are great shoes. My suggestion to anyone reading this, is to go to a high quality running store, let them determine what sort of shoe you need, then either purchase one pair at the store, or come back and see if it is offered for less here at Amazon.

The shoe from Amazon was the exact same shoe we got from the boutique running store, only it was delivered to our door and was $16 less.

I purchased this shoe after having my foot analyzed at the Expo for the Country Music Marathon. I was running in the Brooks Adrenaline. This shoe is like the Adrenaline only it has less stability and more flexability. It has worked much better for me. My feet dont hurt as much after my run. The flexibility has added much comfort to my run. Great shoe.

great value for the dollar. Getting use to a shoe that fits my high arch.

The sneakers are comfortable and I like the support they give. I have narrow feet so I was glad they come in different widths.

I have used Brooks shoes for several years now and have them to be the best. However, the left shoe of this pair is very painful. My other Brooks shoes are still pain free. Do you think there is a manufacturing flaw?

Good shoe. Arrived fast & in perfect condition. I have owned many pairs of Brooks and I personally find them the best for running. Comfortable! Good deal on Amazon

i just started running regularly about a year and a half ago and before that sporadically. I have wider feet and have the hardest time finding a good fit. I've tried on dozens of running shoes including shoes by nike, adidas, aasics, reebok, among others. i'm thrilled that i have finally found a perfect match. the defyance 2 is well made and durable even for long distance running. I've ran a marathon and 1/2 marathon with them with no blisters afterwards. if you're looking for a good neutral running shoe, this is definitely one to look into. when i find a good discount on these shoes i plan to buy another 5 pairs or so
