I just bought the 4s to upgrade from the !Brooks Women's Ghost 3 Running Shoe I wore out. First off, let me say I was initially apprehensive about spending $100+ on a pair of shoes, especially when you wear them out as much as I do. I'm military, so I run almost every day. But as soon as I put the 3s on, I knew I was going to buy them. The 4s were no different. They are so light weight and comfortable, it's unbelievable. I had shin splints when I bought the 3s, and they helped me get rid of them.
The thing I like the most about the Ghosts other than the comfort, is the fact that you don't have to break them in! They come ready to go! This is my second pair of Brooks Ghosts and it won't be the last

I bought these yesterday at our local mall, and went for a 3 mile run in them this morning. Admittedly, I haven't worn these for weeks, but I think they are keepers... I was set on getting a pair of Asics, but the very knowledgeable saleslady at the store explained how Asics are good shoes, but their "gel" construction breaks down rather quickly... (as a side note, I bought the Asics Kayano 17, and returned them the next day because for me, they were really uncomfortable- which makes sense because the Kayano 17 is a stability shoe, and I am a neutral runner) so I gave the Brooks a try-on and it was immediate love! I bought the blue version, which is very attractive, with just the right amount of feminine embellishment in the logo on the shoe, with dark blue and very nice turquoise accents. Personally, I don't like pink/purple/sparkly shoes.... These are SO lightweight, and I have no foot pain, blisters, anything, from their maiden run : ) The shoes upper is very breathable/flexible mesh, which I can really appreciate here in the humid Virginia summers we have. Overall, highly recommend! : )

I love these shoes, they fit like a glove and you don't need to break them in. I wear orthotic shoe inserts and always look for a shoe with a deep heal. I had worn New Balance and Asics for 12 years but always suffered from blistered heals which limited my exercise. Since discovering Brooks Ghost, my life has changed and can now walk for as long as I like and have even started running.

I ordered these sneakers after a long time of looking for a combo of the right cushioining and support. These sneakers are perfect for the average runner or even for walking. I do wish they came in better colors, but these are the top of the line for me.

Since I bought my first running shoes about 9 years ago, I have always been an Asics devotee. I had never even tried another brand I was so happy with my Asics. However, when I went to get a new pair last winter, the selection of Asics was slim, so the salesman recommended the Ghost 4. I soon noticed that he and all of the other sales people (I bought them from a local specialty running store, where all of the associates are runners themselves) were wearing Brooks shoes, and wondered if they got special commission for pushing the product. I decided to get them anyway. I now know they just love the shoes, like I have loved my Ghost 4s!

I have wide feet (not super wide, but wide enough to be uncomfortable in some shoes), and the first thing I noticed about the Ghost 4 is the increased toe room. They are so lightweight and flexible which make them super comfortable to run, walk, elliptical, or do anything in. I have had my pair for almost a year and they are still going strong. I have put them through a lot - a beach 5K through sand and water, softball, and many miles on the treadmill, and they still look great. I have machine washed them twice and they always come out looking brand new. I have definitely gotten my money's worth from this shoe. I have knee problems and often get shin splints when I run regularly, but these shoes really help with both. I know my current pair should be replaced but I will have a hard time letting my favorite shoes go! I am going to try the new Ghost 5 or maybe just buy the exact same pair again because I love them so much!

These shoes have been a terrible dissapointment!!

They were recommended to me as the "absolute best running shoe", and the reviews here would have also left that impression, but my experience with these shoes have been terrible - not to mention an expensive failure - I paid over US$100 for these shoes, the most I have ever spent on a pair of running shoes.

The main issue is the cushioning (or should I say lack of cushioning) in the heel. It is so incredibly poor that after a few runs (I kept hoping the shoes just needed some breaking in) the pains in my heels became to bad that I have had to get treatment and my running programme has stalled. I have never had this particular issue with any pair of running shoes I have tried, including many far less expensive ones.

I am switching and have ordered the Asics Cumulus

Wow...it isn't often that I find a shoe that is comfortable right out of the box...but this shoe is so comfy that I can tell it is surely going to be a favorite. I am not a runner but this is a lightweight shoe that is not only stylish but fits just perfectly. I thought it was a little pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for!! I also received these very timely. Thanks!!

This shoe performs as advertised. At first I thought it was running too small and had almost decided to return them. Finally I determined to take them out for a long walk, and was glad I did. They are not too short. This shoe runs much truer to size than the Brooks Adrenaline.
