4.0 out of 5 stars Squishy
I bought these as an every day trainer. I don't have a very high arch but found after two weeks the shoes rubbing on the top of my feet. A quick relace solved that problem.

They squish. There is a gel inside the forefoot and heel and it squishes when you make contact with the cement. I find it somewhat distracting but I am trying to get over it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Fit
I've bought the Brooks Glycerin running shoes for many years and always loved the way they fit. This is the first incarnation that runs way too wide and way too short in the toe. It was a really bad fit. I can't understand why Brooks changed the design of this shoe. It was perfect for my narrow neutral feet. I'll definitely have to try their next design in a store before...

There is little feeling for the road with these and would be really good for someone with foot/knee issues. Although if you are an efficent runner and neutral like myself you would be better off with a different trainer for the same price that allows a little more feel for the road.

5.0 out of 5 stars favorite shoes ever, June 23, 2008
These are the most comfortable pair of running shoes I've ever worn. My feet get a little beat up from wearing cleats all the time, so cushy running shoes like these are great. I have high arches and a neutral gait, if that information is helpful in assessing this review.

The first reviewer, is right, though, if you want to "feel the road", buy something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY BEST LONG DISTANCE RUNNING SHOES EVER!!!!, April 1, 2009
I've been running 10Ks for the past year and am now training for the marathon. We run, on average 12 to 15 miles, for training. Usually, after a run, my knees and hips and my middle toes are very sore. Since I've changed over to my Glycerin 6, the pains are pretty much non-existent although I am still a little sore from fatigue. My toes are back to normal also. The support and padding have helped me tremendously! I should have, but didn't, break in my new Glycerin 6 prior to a half-marathon. I just knew that I was training in the wrong shoes. So after walking a half-mile with these shoes on, the very next day, I wore them to the race and did great!

This is my 2nd pair of the Brooks Glycerin 6. They are lightweight with the right amount of cushioning. My first pair has held up well. I will continue to buy this shoe in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite running shoe, February 14, 2009
I love these shoes. They are a perfect cushioning running shoe. They required no break in period. I have finally found the perfect running shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Brooks quality, January 31, 2010

Love this shoe. This is the second pair I have ordered because I like them so well. I wear these shoes only for running (i'm a distance runner). Long lasting, great quality materials. I retired my first pair from running, and they are still in great shape so I can wear them for walking. Extremely comfortable, excellent cushioning. No complaints!

5.0 out of 5 stars great deal, October 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I didn't know you could even buy running shoes on amazon.com but friends recommended it. If you know your shoe type and size it's a great idea. I love Brooks Glycerin shoes - they are a neutral shoe if that's what you need - they're light and comfortable, especially if you have b-width feet. These ones are Glycerin 6, so last year's model. But they don't change much and the price is right: $80 instead of about $135 u.s. for this year's. Plus, for some reason, I wasn't charged duty even though I live in Canada. I'm told that's hit or miss. I would definitely buy again. Again $84 u.s. (so about $95 Cdn) with tax and shipping included v. $165 Canadian for the same kind of shoe here.

Love these shoes. I've had several different styles by Brooks. Like them the best. Wearing them in my first triathlon this weekend!
