5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, durable, form fitting, great running shoe!, July 16, 2010
This is the second time I've purchased Brooks shoes for running and I'm hooked. I didn't purchase mine off of Amazon, but in a high-end runner's shoe store. After trying on about 10 different styles and brands, I ended up with Brooks again--not even remembering that it was Brooks that I had used before. No wonder it fit so well and was the obvious choice when I tried it on. Fit like a glove.

I wanted a shoe that would feel light, have flexible fabric, breathable, have spring to it, and form to my feet (instead of looking like something square and clunky), and this shoe does all that.

My only con is that I've recently noticed that after almost 5 months of pavement running every day, the springy feel has started to flatten a bit. But, the woman at the store told me that a normal shoe will start to lose it's cushion and the bottoms will begin to wear down after about 6 months of use (that is if you use it every day and on hard surfaces). Trail runners will probably get a bit more usage out of this shoe.

Nevertheless, I still highly recommend this shoe.

I'm training for a half marathon and these were the shoes I was fitted for at Scheels-but they cost about $35 less on Amazon! I love these shoes & will order them again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mileage, February 26, 2011

I love Brooks shoes. I can definitely tell that I get the most mileage out of these than any other shoe. The size does run a little bit small though, so keep that in mind when you purchase these without trying them on. These are a little snug so your foot feels very enveloped when you're wearing them because of the cushioning on them.

I bought these bcaause I needed a light stability to amost nuetral shoe and these had the perfect amount of support for my pronation. The toe box isn't as wide as I would have liked for longer runs since my foot tends to expand. This has a steep toe tip so it really feels like a racing shoe. I used these shoes for a little over a year and really wore them down, but they still felt great to the last run. I even use them still as casual shoes. I've definitely gotten my money's worth from this brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars runs a little small, January 25, 2011

I have 3 types of brooks running shoes. I love brooks. This one ran slightly smaller than the others---which is ok to the extent that if i wear thin socks i am fine-but i can't wear my thor los with them. And i'm used to the wide feel of my other brooks vs. the small/snug feel of these. After wearing for a few days, however, i am starting to adjust. They are light weight and look nice. And brooks makes great shoes--just beware when buying online as the sizing my not be accurate for you
