These shoes were recommended by my physical therapist for my plantar fasciitis, but they can be pretty expensive at the fancier shoe stores. My only regret about purchasing these shoes is that I just saw the price had been cut in half - so I bought a second pair. The first pair was a bargain, but the second pair was an absolute steal.

Exactly what I wanted! Was able to find out all the important information from the product review and have been very pleased with this running shoe. Have already put several miles on them and they are working great! Not a fan of yellow, but this shoe actually looks better in person.

This is my second pair of these shoes and I love them. I do however have to buy a shoe insert because they don't touch my arches, but together, they are a winning combination.

Much like other new runners I mistakenly thought I could buy a pair of name brand athletic shoes from the local department store and start knocking out the miles. Also like other new runners, I was wrong. I developed horrible knee pain that made it impossible to make it past the first mile. My doctor recommended that I go to a running store and get my stride analyzed and if I was serious about running get fitted for a pair of shoes. Turns out I am a moderate over-pronator with a flat foot. I was first fitted for a pair of Brooks Ariels, but when I tried them out at the gym it caused pain from my knees all the way down my shins; not to mention feeling like I was running in ski boots. I went back to the store and told them what was happening and they immediately grabbed the Dyad 6 and I was in love. For the first time in a very long time I had to stop running due to exhaustion instead of pain. No more ankle/foot rolling to the inside, just solid strides and a MUCH more enjoyable experience. Running became fun again! Life has been pretty hectic the past few months and I am finally ready to re-boot my fitness routine. To save my Dyad 6's for treadmill running (huge pet peeve when people wear dirty street shoes on the gym equipment), I turned to the internet and found a pair of Dyad 5's in my size for $59 and had to have them. Cannot wait for them to arrive so I can include some outdoor runs in my workout schedule.

I like the Brooks Dyad. I have arthritis in my feet. These shoes are comfortable and fit well. The only thing I wish was different was the color. I don't care much for yellow.

Saved my shins,

I started running a few months ago, and with beginner's naivete bought department store quality "running" shoes. After a few weeks in them, I thought I was going to have to give up running because of excruciating pain in my shins and knees.
Luckily I found these shoes. They were recommended to me by the staff at a local running specialty store, as good for runners with normal pronation, whose feet tend to be wide at the front and flat. The front of the shoe has plenty of room to support my entire foot, without it slipping to the side as has happened in other shoes. The first time I wore them running I could tell a noticeable difference-- they made it easier to "push off" with each step, made me feel lighter on my feet, and no more shin pain. I can tell the cushioning gives great support because my shins held up in these even when I started running faster and farther. They're holding up well and seem to be very well-made. The front has breathable mesh to provide ventilation for your feet. I'll be forever grateful to these shoes for allowing me to run again when I thought I couldn't anymore. So, lesson learned for me: if you're serious about running, you need serious running shoes that will support and protect you, and these shoes really fit the bill for flat/wide-footed normal pronators like me.

This is the second pair of these I have had. They were recommended to me by my podiatrist. They lasted longer and cost less than any previous shoes I had tried since I had started having trouble with bone spurs. The mesh is cooler for summer wear as well.
