This was a spur-of-the-moment joke Christmas present for my husband, attempting to minimize the number of remotes he has to find in order to use the living room system. Initially it didn't seem easy to set up, and I wrote it off as just one of those gimmicks that sounded better than it was. After further reading of the manual (not a guy-thing, of course) he set up the television, cable remote and surround-sound remote - the most important ones - to work with the pillow. The trickiest thing is to remember to "activate" the pillow when you want to use it, but once you learn to use the buttons in the correct order and point it in the right direction, it's a very functional remote. A real surprise!

This thing is amazing. Thanks to the genius who designed it. It even matches my couch perfectly, works great with all my devices. BUT! But it takes too long to turn it on! Let's get an easier switch.
The current design requires you to hold the "activate" button for 3 seconds. One of the main purposes of a universal remote is to simplify usage.
Also its too easy to accidentally change the program codes.
For now, this is a great way to keep my roommates from losing my remotes. BUT it needs to be easier to use.

Loved the idea, but after purchasing and returning the pillow THREE times, I gave up! Even the manager at Brookstone checked them and could not believe ANY of them worked properly. Great idea if $50 for a purely decorative pillow works for you.

This pillow is amazing, it was a little tricky programming the remote at first, but once I read the manual (YES! I suggest reading the manual first). It was a breeze. Here's a tip: the remote will seem like its off at first after you put the batteries in but its not you HAVE to press the activate button for 3 seconds. Then the blue light will come back on. Then an easy way to set the remote is to just turn your TV on, then press TV on the remote for 3 seconds then start pressing the up channel button on the remote until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press OK and you're done. You can do this for everything else too. Once I programmed it, I FELL IN LOVE. The remote is so easy to use and the buttons are the best, they are easy to push and I love the click sound it makes, and the pillow itself is so plush overall its the best gift u could get for a TV lover like myself.

It is what it is
It's more remote than pillow. I don't recommend putting it on the couch with other pillows because you WILL sit on it EVERY time and you WILL change the channel accidentally. Read more
