Neo-soul singer Angie Stone was in R&B trio Vertical Hold in the early 90s, before trying another group called Devox in 1996. She co-wrote and performed with emerging neo-soul star D'Angelo before striking out on her own with solo debut album Black Diamond in 1999. while most of Angie stone's material leaves me feeling hit&miss this particular song hit home.I give her props for making a Uplifting songs about Brothers because it hardly ever happens.this is a Cool Laid back but direct track.
