the funkiest!,
This review is from: Brothas Doobie (Audio CD)
Funkdoobiest second album, even better than the first one. Good lyrics and great beats, especially the ones produced by Muggs! A lot of dope tracks, one of them "superhoes" that also appeared on the "Friday" soundtrack. I consider Son Doobie as one of the best rappers of the Soul Assassins family. A different west coast style, really having a lot of Funk elements in it. This album is better than most stuff that is dropping these days.

XXX Funk,

Another quite unknown band who have the ability. This album produced by DJ Muggs is one of the best I've bought. Although lyrics are explicit indeed, the humor of the band really works out well. Son Doobie and Tomahawk Funk with their dj Ralph M find the right tunes and very interesting decisions in composing songs and though make this doobie-speeching masterpiece worth buying. ANOTHER RECOMMENDATION BY ME (check out: Delinquent Habits).

despite not getting their videos played on "mtv" and getting radio time, they still do better music than those on "mtv".people these days just follow the crowd and go with the trend and totally ignore the good music.anyways, this being their second album, funkdoobiest certaintly werent victims of the sophomore jinx.coming from l.a. and from the same click of cypress hill and delinquent habits, funkdoobiest combine hip hop with oldies sound and latin funk.after all,its executive produced by dj muggs of cypress hill.pretty much all the songs are good and enjoyable.

latin rap at its best , if you are familiar with cypress hill then you will like this album. The prouducer is DJ muggs who is dj of cypress hill , he really makes a good job of this record.
This was the same period of temple of boom by the hill , brothas doobie is a record you could just play loud without skipping. Its some nice beats , son doobies lyrics shine on ka sera sera . If you are into cypress hill , house of pain , mellow man ace , and the whole dark rap - then this album will be a gem. Best songs -ka sera sera -rock on -dedicated -it aint goin down -dum,dumb and track 13

Winky,

This group is off the charts for me, they are a bit silly but prove a point with their humor. I find the album to be pretty decent overall and is a good combination of jazziness and zest into the songs. The bass is there but needs to be drawn out more for people to experience better.

THIS IS WORTH YOUR $$$$$$,
This review is from: Brothas Doobie (Audio CD)
I gotta tell ya, there is only about 2 songs on this album that are beyond the average, but these 2 songs are worth the money. I'd tell you the names of the songs but you'll know it when you buy the record. Here's the deal, Sun Doobie was part of the Cypress Hill crew but was too young when Cypress became big, at least that's what I heard somewhere down the line. There is heavy Cypress Hill influence, but Funk Doobiest has a more comical take (not so gangster). Give it a listen and give the guys mad credit. There are alot of punks making too much money in rap today and Funk Doobie is one of the unsung heros. Bring the REAL back.
