I had the Brother 2140 Lazer printer before I purchased this one and that was a fantastic printer that served me well. With the good luck I had with the 2140 Brother I figured I would give this one a try. I was done with all of my heavy duty scanning and no longer needed a dedicated scanner for intense photo scanning, so I looked for an all in one by Brother and found this one. From setup, to printing and finally scanning...the product performs on all levels and I could not be any happier.

The only negative I have in regard to this product is the size. It is one heck of a monster AIO but that will not keep me from still giving it the 5 star rating. I have a dedicated table for my AIO and router so it is no issue for me but if you are cramped for space you had better look at the dimensions carefully.

I've had this printer for a few months and love it. The only attribute I ranked lower than 5 stars is the noise it makes when 'awake'. When not actively in use, it goes to sleep and is totally quiet.

I purchased this multi-function copier and am happy to have a scanner in my office but it does not handle checks very well. I get "paper jammed" sign all the time even when there is nothing jammed inside. I often have to open up the printer and get the printer cartridge out so that "paper jammed" sign will go away and it is pain in a butt. Another thing is that paper does not go straight in. I hate to have crooked printed checks.

I am thinking of buying another one. Very nice setup and
copy!!! My Minolta lasted ten years, and i DOUBT this one
will last that long, but very good so far.

I love this printer. I'm constantly printing out a ton of pages--manuscripts, student papers, and the like. It is SUPER easy to set up and use. It's only jammed once and was easy to fix (I've had it for ~eight months). It's fast and scans and copies very easily. Sure, it doesn't print in color and it's not wireless--but for me, these were small downsides in a very sturdy, reliable, workhorse of a printer.

A great little machine. Use it in my personal office on a daily basis -- relatively quick copies, good quality. The only drawback in my opinion is that it doesn't have an open paper slot so you have to open the drawer to introduce letterhead or other specific media. I knew that before I purchased this, though, and the unit certainly functions as advertised.

Good solid printer option, networkable or stand alone. Easy to use. Good print speed for light duty personal office printer.

The DCP-7030 is the most user-friendly device I've ever purchased. Plug it in, hook it up to my laptop, it runs itself!!! The print speed and quality is amazing, scanner is easy, copies clear. Best multifunction device ever!!

I purchased the Brother DCP-7030 last year. This printer prints very well when you can get it to work, howsoever mine is offline most of the time. It goes offline on its own, no matter what the settings are. It stays offline until I reinstall the printer and printer driver software. This means I have to reinstall the printer and printer driver several times each month. When I reinstall the printer and printer driver the DCP-7030 will work well for a day or two and then will go offline again. The interface is beyond clunky and the printer does not seem to respond to any changes in settings anyway. I did email Brother for support once, and received outdated instructions that were poorly written and did not apply to Windows 7 (no matter what they say). I did hesitate to buy a Brother product in the first place, but at the time I bought it, the reviews were mostly good. My advice now would be to stay away from this printer because it isn't worth the hassle I go through. It doesn't work most of the time.

I gave this printer a one star overall because it was the lowest rating available, justly deserved for a printer that doesn't work most of the time. The other ratings (ease of setup, etc) apply only if the printer is actually working, which is usually isn't.

Bought this printer to replace a 3-in-one that died. This is much simpler to use, super fast, and has great print quality.
