This was for my old home MFC-9600. The drum is perfect and the price was great.

I buy items based on reviews. I should have listened on this one. I am glad to have saved money, but the noise this drum makes while printing is almost too much to handle. You can hear it whining from the other side of the house. I would suggest trying another budget version. When I read other people saying this was noisy, I thought "how bad can it be...especially if I save a lot of money"...WRONG...this thing is a nuisance. Buyer beware...seriously...take our word for it...you will hate the noise!

Was apprehensive at first, but when it arrived it was just like the one I was replacing and it performed equally as well. Am very pleased with the quality.

Right out of the box, drum unit wouldn't work. Lots of lines in the print, and drum was making a horrendous noise. I took it out and reinstalled it four time but couldn't make it print or get rid of the noises it was making. I'd love to have my money back for this piece of junk, but emails go unanswered. I'd buy another printer before I'd buy this product again.

The service was prompt. The drum unit has worked very well. Our copies are nice and crisp. Thank you for your quick and efficient service.

Works perfectly. Even though this is an aftermarket item, it fits perfectly and now the copier is printing clean copies again like it was brand new

I have had my Brother HL-1440 for at least 8 years. I had to replace the drum unit a few years ago and bought a Brother brand replacement drum. It worked just like new but, was very expensive. This compatable unit is a little noisey but I get very good copies. The best price I could find for the brother drum was $160, this compatable product was $40 including shipping.

I had trouble with the first unit. The replacement process was easy and fast. My only complant was that I had to pay the return postage.

Assuming my printer lasts for another 2/3 years, I'll buy another replacement drum from SuperMedia

I would expect more than a lot of slipping gears on this unit.

I almost did not order this product because of some of the other reviews, but mine is perfect. The copies look as good as they did when I bought this printer over five years ago. I do not get any strange noises and it popped right in. I immediatley used it to print almost 600 pages in a row and it was great. I also received super fast shipping. I selected the next day option and it was here by 10AM. It really saved the day.

Horrible experience with these units. I bought 2, the first would give paper jams every 3 sheets or so. The second one gave HORRENDOUS quality, and I believe ultimately led to the untimely death of a Brother 4750e that had been working flawlessly for years. After 3 days of using the second drum unit, my machine stopped feeding paper altogether regardless of the drum and toner combination I tried. Thanks to Amazon for making returning these fax machine killers easy. Lesson learned and buyer beware...avoid this particular unit like the plague!!!
