I use these all the time for labeling anything that is fabric. I've used it on many items from shirts to a heavy canvas tool pouch to jeans. They stay well if you are careful in ironing them on with a good seal. You have to get the label hot by holding the iron down on the label for 10 seconds or so, and then using the tip of the iron to make sure the label seals. Only once have I lost a label to the washer, and I suspect it was my fault. If you buy these, you will find many uses you wouldn't have thought of before you had them!!

Easy to use! Works well. Practice on your Brother P-Touch to find the best print settings to minimize space between labels to save space.

It is just Plug & Play! I cut up an old shirt to use between the iron and the tape. The iron-on Tape adheres to nearly every fabric. Let it cool for 20 seconds before moving the clothing so the glue sets up.

I found all "caps & bold" setting worked the best for legibility. Bold is "Function - Style - Bold". Once I found the right print settings I selected "Function - print options - copies" to print several at a time. Sorry if this is too basic for you.

I spent more time finding the optimum print settings for the P-Touch than anything else. I found the Manual for my model on line. I have to admit the P-Touch has been so easy to use, I haven't read the manual until now.

The Fabric Iron-On Tape worked easily for me. Initially, the fabric I used between the iron and the Label was too thick. The labels didn't adhere well. I switched to a thin fabric so the Labels got hot enough to melt the fabric glue and it worked well.

I first have to say that I am a full-time caregiver for an ill family member who recently was hospitalized and then went to a nursing/rehabilitation center. I bought the Brother Fabric 1/2 inch Iron-On Tape (Navy Blue on White) to label his clothing while he was in the nursing home.

The tape is easily installed in the Brother P-Touch (Model PT-1290). Making the labels is a snap, and the print is nice and clear. Ironing the labels on, is another story, though. Even with following the instructions to the letter about the ironing process, the adhesive is not really all that good or effective. I was applying the labels to cotton tee-shirts, cotton-polyester blend sport shirts, cotton and cotton/polyester blend drawstring-style pants, all acceptable fabrics by the standards set forth in the directions that came with the label tape. Ultimately, I had to sew the labels into each garment, which took a little time, but was well worth the effort.

Laundering: I launder all the whites in hot water, with detergent and bleach (the old-fashioned way). Turns out, the print on the labels does fade after about a half-dozen washings. The colored garments have been laundered in warm water, with detergent and no bleach, and there was fading there, as well. Some of the labels have faded to the point of where they cannot be read at all.

Expense: The roll of tape is not what I would call inexpensive, by any stretch of the imagination. I really do think that Brother could do better on quality and price, as this label tape does not adhere well, does not stand up to the laundering, and is expensive.

These labels are made to last! Throw away the magic markers and use these labels for clothing if you have a love one in a Nursinghome or hospital. My clothes have been through these tough industrial washer and dryers yet the label is still very much readable! They have been washed over thirty times!you won't find a better label that will last for months!

Excellent product for labeling clothing. Very easy to use on all my daughters clothes. I was even able to label mittens, and the inside of boots. I love walking by the lost and found table at her school knowing her things will never be there!

I really like this product from Brother and I've been using it for years. I print with a handheld unit that provides limited printing options, but does the job for me. The labels print as blue lettering on a white background and the font is pretty clear.

The labels attach to pretty much anything and go on extremely quickly with an iron. I tend to touch the iron directly to the label, but if you're slow the label will adhere directly to the iron or the ink will smudge badly.

Otherwise, once the label is on it's going to stay there for a really long time. It has survived a year or two of regular wear and laundry, which I find pretty impressive.

In the event that you need to remove a label be prepared for a chore. The label off is tough and requires patience while reheating the glue to remove it. Take care not to scorch the fabric that you are working on.

I do have one gripe and that is the printing process off the Brother printer that I have wastes a good deal of tape. The printer tends to feed an inch of tape before printing which takes a chunk out of the 15 or 16 dollars of the cost of the tape.

I love this tape! I use it to personalize handmade gifts (crocheted afghans for example) and just sew the tags on. I have not used the iron on feature and probably won't, since it really wouldn't adhere to yarn, but it works perfectly for my purposes!
