I bought this machine a couple of weeks ago. It is an upgrade for me from a VERY basic Brother machine. I bought mine at a sewing machine store; actually cheaper than Amazon and I get their expertise/service.

One major feature I was looking for in my new machine is speed control. I am teaching my daughter to sew; this machine can be set to sew very very ssssslllloooww. Great when trying to teach a nine year old. Threading is pretty simple; there is a nifty automatic needle threader. I'm using it but threading a machine needle was never a big deal for me. I also like the automatic needle up feature. On every machine I ever used previously, I had to turn the wheel when done sewing a line to raise the needle. This machine does it automatically.

This Brother makes a very nice buttonhole; not as nice perhaps as a machine twice its price but still, just fine. It has this neat buttonhole foot in which you put your desired button in the back and it uses that button to automatically make the proper sized buttonhole. All in one step. This is WAY better than my old machine.

The bobbin is a top-drop-in. No more bringing up the loop, just put in in and sew.

One feature I've yet to use is a front stop/go control button. I guess that if you didn't want to or couldn't use a foot pedal you could use this button instead. I can see it being nice for buttonholes; you just position your fabric, push the "go" button, and it makes all the side of the buttonhole and stops automatically.

This machine trys to make things oops-proof. If you've ever jambed your machine because you started sewing with the presser foot up, well, that can't happen with this machine. If things aren't "right", it will give you an error beep.

I have been using my Touch and Sew for forty years to make baby-children clothes, drapes, coats, Halloween costumes, you name it - struggling year in and year out with broken needles and jammed bobbins. What a quantum leap it has been to enter the market for a new sewing machine...The old zigzag idea has segued into the 21st century with a new face and awesome variations, all computerized and automatic.

After surveying the marketplace, looking at Singers, Vikings, Janomes, etc., I finally went into the Brother dealer who demonstrated the smooth Innovis-40 PRW. I loved it, but continued on my search, only to discover the PC-210 PRW. It is 5 pounds heavier, has a stronger motor at .7AMPS, more "extras" and especially more room ( 2 inches more) under the opening where I must reach to lift the Presser foot. I decided two weeks ago to buy that machine, the PC-210 PRW, from Amazon. I did not need all the extra stitches for embroidery that the PC-420 provides for $100.00 more.

The machine performs flawlessly. It is quiet and precise. Amazingly, the Presser foot moves with the contour of the fabric being sewn. I witnessed the PC-210 PRW sew through several layers of leather. I have sewn easily through four layers of quilted fabric. I love the speed control of the PC-210 PRW, while sewing with my 7 yr. old granddaughter. Threading is exceptionally simple and the automatic threader works every time. The bobbin is threaded with minimal effort and the bobbin thread is automatically drawn into the stitch when sewing begins. The automatic needle up ( or down) feature is convenient for turning corners and the reverse button ties the stitching row off easily. There is no need to ever turn the wheel to position the needle.

I shopped extensively before buying this machine, including reading reviews, asking folks and trying them at the shop. This machine is great. VERY easy to use, good manual, solid and attractive. So far everything I've tried has been easy and flawless. It quite literally makes sewing easier.

This is by far the nicest sewing maching I've had in my many years of sewing. It is a delight to operate--so smooth and quiet, it doesn't vibrate or bounce at faster speeds.

It is electronic, has auto needle raising or lowering--you choose--it's easy to learn and intuitive to master. The instruction booklet is easy to understand and follow.

I love the way all the utensils tuck neatly away into an inside tray, giving the sewing machine a sleek, uncluttered look. Even the spool of thread is hidden inside the top housing! It is also easy to thread, both the needle and the bobbin. And everything, so far, has worked.

I highly recommend the Limited Edition Project Runway sewing machine!

This machine is unbelievable! It's such a quality piece of machinery that I actually enjoy sewing again. It's like owning a Porsch compared to a model T. It absolutely purrrrs when you sew, it responds to the slightest touch when you move the material around, yet has all the power you need for mending jeans. I love that whoever created this machine actually put some thought into what would make it easier to use - even down to a self-threading needle. You can switch to most of the embroidery stitches with a push of the button. No cassettes to find and install. An absolute joy - well worth the money.
