Warning! If you plan on quilting more than 1 or 2 quilts, the plastic on this foot will eventually crack (at least it did with my machine, and my user manual lists this foot as compatible). The pressure would crack the back plastic piece causing the clear plastic toe to slide forward a 1/8 inch, causing the needle to go THROUGH the plastic! It's a miracle I didn't break more needles.

Anyways, after my 2nd time purchasing this foot I got so frustrated that I invested in the Brother SA187 Open Toe Quilting Foot. I was nervous that it wouldn't fit my machine becasue my manual doesn't list it as compatible, but it fits!!! It was worth the $28 vs this $6 one. And it was worth paying the extra $10 for 2day shipping.

I wanted to like this foot but it couldn't handle the speed and pressure that I quilt at apparently. For a dedicated quilter, definitely go for the SA187!

I found this item to be at a great price! Other places sold it for much more than Amazon. The shipping cost was also reasonable. I received the item very quickly.

I was a little disppointed because the instructions included with this item are vary vague and difficult to read. The pictures are small and not very detailed. However, I think the instructions are pre-packaged in the item so not necessarily a seller problem. I would just recommend searching for turtorial videos... I found quite a few on YouTube. This was a great help.

Be sure to practice before actually using this on a quilt. It's easy to learn!

Thanks for another great purchase!

Very fast shipping and no problems with the product! I bought this foot for my Brother SQ9000 and it fits like a gem. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is I wished it came with some sort of illustration/instruction on how to install it on one's machine. However, after viewing a couple similar youtube videos and tinkering with my machine, I was able to figure it out. It was quite fast and simple to install. As noted by other reviewers, if this is your first time using this foot, you will want to practice and make sure you're comfortable using it before tackling your project. This foot definitely makes it easier sewing several layers together--no more getting it stuck in the feed dogs. You also have more control with how you want to turn your fabric. However, the down side is you gotta pace yourself with feeding the material (since you have to put the feed dogs down when using this foot) so the stitches aren't as even but I think with more practice, it'll get better. Definitely worth the buy if you're a quilter and especially for this price, you can't find it anywhere else for this kind of deal!

I bought this free motion quilting foot for quilting the baby quilt (expecting baby next month). It was worth buying it. This is the cheapest I could get when compared to the one from sewing supplies store. It is very easy to work with once you learn how to handle. Worth buying.

This is my first try at free motion quilting, and I am going to order an open toe free motion foot. It's a little hard to see where you're going with this one, even though it's clear plastic. Aside from that, it works OK. There were no instructions included for installation, but I was able to figure it out.

i bought this weeks ago and it works great with my Brother Sewing/Embroidery Machine. So far I have only used this foot with thin layered fabrics and it worked great. Will try it with heavier material and let you know how that goes. So far I couldn’t be happier.

Used this to replace a general quilting foot I had ordered and didn't work. This one fit my brother machine perfectly and works like a charm. Spend the extra money and get the brand specific foot instead of the generic!
