It's all about taste, if you don't like smooth melodies with funny and haunting melody lyrics this isn't for you.
I love Let's Get It On from Marvin Gay and the versions of Maceo Parker and so on. I love the album of SOLO with Heaven and Where Do You Want Me To Put It. I love Paperboy Ditty... Brotherhood Creed is one of it's own. There is nothing like that, catchy melodies and best of all, this is not a "only one song is good" CD. Track 2: Helluva - Great song, funny lyrics... hello helluva hey how you're doing... (hell of a girl = helluva :-D) Track 3: Miss Terry - Awesome song, very funny, cool, catchy, it rimes it's fun... One, twenty eight, twenty three, hey BHC radio... :-) great! I love it! I don't even understand the text right, albeit I try it since 1992, but it's so damn slang. Track 5: Luv Connection - Bass liner, cool song with a nice turn... yo man play it slow jam... Track 6: What's Really Goin' On - One of the best songs ever created for my taste... Ah ha haa, you are not the same no more, what's really going on... Awesome rap with endless rimes and deep text. Track 7: Shells By The Seashore - Cool and funny, great bass... my whole life is connected to this songs in some fashion. Track 8: Hey Now - Awesome beat, great melody. The girl want's xxx but he is a nice guy and shy... hey now hey now baby! Funny rimes, cool lyrics... Track 10: 50/50 Love - Good song, I like it sometimes a lot, but it's not my favorite. 7 songs of this CD are great. What's Really Goin' On and Miss Terry are my favorites. There should be more of this kind of music! All lyrics tell a story in this songs. McDaniel-77

I own this CD, I bought it for $1.00 USD at Disc Jockey (now F.Y.E), and I must say: I got what I paid for.
Though, I believe, that "Helluva" (original/remix) was the song that placed them on .. whatever "charts" back in 1992, I felt that was not the best song on the album. I felt "Miss Terry" was, and more so for the adolescent point-of-view of almost every male (or the opposite for the opposite) teenager at that age who, in essence, is excited (in a physical way) towards their female teacher. This song plays well in that arena; though the original "rock" version is much better (different name, same premise). The music itself, without the singing, is pretty good. If they had a separate album without the lyrics, I'd say buy that one. There is some R&B in some of the songs, and it's of higher quality than the rapping. "Don't Let The Weather Fool Ya" - has a good mix of R&B and Rap; the former being the best, along with the music, but, the rapping isn't too bad but close. "Shells by the Sea-Shore" and "Shoop Shoop Shoo Doo" are the worst songs on the album, in my opinion. The rest of the songs are average, mainly due to the R&B quality, and the music itself. Overall, I give this a 2.5/5, mainly for the effort; and that the fact that some of the songs seem to express musical prowess yet fall short in totality of the album. -Nam

This was one of the wackest cd's I've ever heard. Man, when I was in 5th grade, I loved hearing Helluva, the beat was great, especially sampled that oldies song mentioned previous, and they were talking about some chick they were obsessed about. But then the rest of the cd, weak weak lyrics, wack @$$ beats. I was like, this is MC Hammer level. I was so dissapointed, do not own this cd, because after one listen through every song, I was so disgusted. Save your money. This is a classic example of weak hip hop.

this shiznick was wack. 'Helluva' used a sample from an old Betty Wright song for the beat, which was mad doo doo. why the heck they formed in the damn first place.
