If you've read Committee of 300, then this book is the icing on the cake. It discusses a wide variety of secret societies and hierarchical organizations linked to the worldwide conspiracy and asks the question, "What's the ultimate source of power behind these people and why are they so united in purpose?" The book is very well written and easy to read, unlike many of this genre. The writer takes you through a history of secret societies from their early origins to present day. Always with the same thought in mind, "What motivates them to hunger after world domination." Your historical perspective will be altered and your worldview will never be the same again. When he finally reveals the awesome secret of their power, you already know what to expect. This is a Spiritual battle of the most universal magnitude. Waged for the souls of mankind since the foundation of creation. Good versus evil. Darkness versus Light. As God has His disciples working to spread the message of Truth, Satan also has recruited his minions to work destruction and human misery. Rewarding them with power and wealth beyond imagination. Dr. Monteith breaks it down in no uncertain terms. Although it appears in many forms and is called by different names, the author of this madness is none other than the Price of Darkness himself! He is hidden behind every man made ritual and ceremony, lurking in the shadows, passing down the `secrets' of his power to those seduced by his evil. Mankind is without hope except in Christ. No wonder the great Apostle Paul said, "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age." Aside from the Full Armor of God, we cannot stand a moment against such evil. Read Dr. Monteith's book and Walk toward the Light!

I gave the book 3 stars simply because I think the author could have gone into more detail and supported his ideas and points more strongly. The content and general ideas, however, I know to be true based on my own research and many other sources.

There is quite a bit of documented evidence of the activity and goals of the New World Order (NWO), Trilateral Commission, Bilderburg Group, The Pilgrim Society, and so on. There is indisputable information on InfoWars.com, FromTheWilderness.com, RealityZone.com, StratiaWire.com, PrisonPlanet.com, PropagandaMatrix.com and many more sites. In fact, many eye-opening facts are well published by Bloomberg, Associated Press and newspapers all over the world. However, most people either do not pay attention to the facts here and there or they are buried in these sources and people do not see these articles in the first place.

A book well worth reading by the world class researcher G. Edward Griffin is "The Creature from Jekyll Island". This book discusses many important topics although the focus is on the deceptive history and purpose of the Federal Reserve System.

Zbigniew K. Brzezinski describes what is now happening in the Middle East and Afghanistan in a book called "The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives". People should be concerned because the book was released in 1998 and Brzezinski knows what he is talking about because he is a founding member of the Trilateral Commission and has been heavily involved in US policy and more than one administration, etc. The book was written in 1998 and describes what would need to happen for US supremacy and some of those things have happened and are now happening.

Everyone should buy "911: The Road to Tyranny" from InfoWars.com or "The Truth and Lies of 911" from FromTheWilderness.com. These videos are very, very well documented and sourced.

Those that have said this book is just an attempt at a quick buck, that the author is paranoid, etc... they are speaking out of ignorance and from their conditioned state. These people usually say something along the lines of "If this was true, surely we would know about it." One needs to realize that almost all newspapers, even down to the local newspapers, TV news stations, major radio stations, and even many web sites are owned and therefore controlled by about 10 mega corporations, such as Disney, and these are controlled by the elite such as David Rockefeller.

A few quotes that are worth thinking about are:

When it comes to why most Americans, in particular, don't know what is and has been really going on, Allen Dulles (which helped in designing the CIA and has been involved in many other areas of governmental activity) said "The American people don't read".

Author Ane Rann said "There is no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. When there aren't any criminals, the government makes them. The government declares so many things a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

Herbert Agar said "The truth which makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear."

When I began to look into the NWO four years ago, I saw references to Satanic worship by people in high places. I refused to accept it. As I learned more and more, I still found myself resisting it. Well, it really is happening, and more wide spread than most people could ever imagine posssible. At infowars.com you can obtain a video with footage from Bohemian Grove if you want more visual type evidence. This book gives a pretty good account of some of the evidence without going into any great detail. It's excellent for someone new to the subject. I thought the Dr. could have gone just a little further into some examples of what some of these institutions finance and are involved in. For example, the great tax exempt foundations. When we look at some of the people running our society, we truly don't have any idea of what we're dealing with.

The great thing about this book, is its multi-faceted, multi- dimensional aspect. It covers economics and money, strategic thinking, emotional aspects to human beings, historical concerns of humanity (life, death, reproduction, food supplies, migration flows, etc.) coupled with intellectual and spiritual concerns.

It crystalizes the millions and millions of facts and details found in reality, selects what's important - in a selection process probably rooted in many years of experience as a responsible citizen - and delivers the conclusions, which cannot be denied. e.g. the majority of leaders in all societies and
communities hold positions of influence in secret societies, and as such, there are formal organizations with political clout as well as informal organizations and act locally, in a given town or city. I feel that the presence of these social clubs was most likely a lot greater 30 years ago or more, as was the pressure to conform to stereotypes, in a giant melting pot in the USA.

Nevertheless, the saying goes "the more things change, the more they stay the same" suggesting that even in 2006, those secret societies, as exemplified by Whitehouse candidates GW Bush Sr, and Jr, John Kerry, Bill Clinton, and similar individuals (as are tens of thousands of politicans, judges, and city officials) who all share identical membership.

As such, world events, and world opinion is coordinated in advance, and often, conflicts are much like a match in the boxing ring, with the giant bankers funding the special event, and making money off the conflict and entire extravaganza, to the detriment of future generations who will be held liable for giant printing of money and borrowing from those generations.

Very revealing book.

Dr. Mothieth's book has much to say about the world we live in, but more about what has shaped it and what will shape it. After reading it, you start looking at things you thought were just part of ordinary life, and realize that it might be a secret organization trying to infiltrate society. This is a must read for anyone interested in some background of secret societies.

Reading Stanley Monteith's "Brotherhood of Darkness" is a voyage into the world of a powerful and anonymous clique which is closed to outsiders--i.e., the overwhelming majority of humanity. Dr. Monteith, you and I are all outsiders and this book is a service to each and every one of us.
Till recently, cynics could have called the book's conclusions mere scaremongering and conspiracy paranoia. (Mind you, they would have to ignore all the thorough research, hard facts, evidence and stated quotes along the way.) But they can hardly call the conclusions conspiracy or paranoia now. With the swift and mighty collapse of Lehman Brothers and all the other financial powerhouses swaying in the aftershocks, it's as if the members of this Curia of Darkness had personally handed Dr Monteith their detailed plans and supervised the writing of his book!
For anyone interested in the history and working of international banking, globalist politics, and secret societies, this is your book.
I have read a fair bit on those subjects and have found most to be wanting. But "Brotherhood of Darkness" led me into historical areas and personages I would never have suspected would be connected with deception and subterfuge. I would have laughed to scorn the idea of those I once considered altruists--like John Ruskin and Cecil Rhodes--being part of an international conspiracy. At least I did until I read this insightful book.
The proof of the conclusions is now all around us. As we now have Dr Monteith's "prophetic" statements unfolding day by day, it is now much easier to trace them back to their sources. The astonishing thing about this book is that the sources and the conclusions were given before the present Wall Street earthquake. The sceptics and cynics can only doubt or scoff against what is no longer speculation but now history.
I have read this book twice and flicked through it over and over. I have also purchased copies to give to friends. I'm glad I passed it around prior to the banking disaster.
Now Stanley Monteith would be able to sum up his book in four words. "I told you so."

This book will change the way you view the world and your country. Easy to read. Easy to follow. I went ahead and researched his sources. I was amazed. The sources are laid out at the end of the chapters for you to research yourself, and if you are a critical thinker you should. This is a must read!!!!

For anyone who is interested in the deeper causes of events in the world, this book is for you! The author ties together the World Bank, NATO, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Illuminati, and Freemasonry, among others, to show who is manipluating events in the world and why. The last chapter provides the key to understanding the whole book! Your view of the world will never be the same again!

This book would generate alot of negative feedback because the truth is often very scary and flat out unbelievable to anyone not well researched in this area.There is so much information in less than 150 pages that it's stunning and needs to be read several times to be fully appreciated.
