Freeze-Dried is the process of removing 97% the water from a fruit via sublimation. Fresh fruit is deeply frozen, and held there for 24 hours. The frozen fruit is then put into a Freeze Drying chamber, where the water is removed under high pressure (no heat involved). The water goes from a solid to a gas, bypassing the liquid step. (Example: Dry Ice)
Fruit Crisps are not baked – this causes the fruit to lose too much flavor!
They are not dehydrated – this adds preservatives!
They are not sweetened dried – this adds sugar!
They are 100% real fruit, 100% natural and certainly 100% delicious.
Fruit Crisps are Freeze-Dried - a process in which the nutrition of the fruit is retained and the basic cell structure remains intact.
Awesome when you cannot cut up a real apple or are on a trip and don't want a big mess.Published 4 days ago by AustinNewYork
Love apples, but hate to peel them; this is a great, handly alternative.Published 13 days ago by Suzanne
Love these! Crispy, tart and dissolve on the tongue! Great for school lunches or mid-afternoon snacks at work, instead of reaching for the nearest candy jar!Published 1 month ago by Steph S.
I wasn't sure if we would like these, but I figured it was worth a shot. They are crispy but not overly crispy. They also have a good flavor to them. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Gina
Sadly, I'm allergic to apples. I was hoping freeze-drying would denature the evil protein. But, I fed them to my husband, and he absolutely loves them!Published 1 month ago by Mercedes
I love these, my 8 month old loves these! I just wish they were a little cheaper. Each bag is supposed to be equivalent to 1.5 apples. Read morePublished 2 months ago by NYzombologist
