This review is from: Brothers in Arms (Audio CD)
Most know the leader of Temple Of Soul - "The Big Man," Clarence Clemmons of Bruce Springsteen's E-Steet Band. This is Clarence on saxophones and some lead and backing vocals leading a stellar R&B/Funk group featuring Narada Michael Walden on keys and some percussion. This album is an amazing thrill ride that shows there is a lot more to "The Big Man" than his King Curtis riffs on The Boss's albums. CC can play jazz, rock, funk and New Age (!) sax with the best of them. He is truly a force of nature. Also pick up his "Peace Maker" CD for a look at his jazz/new age side: mellow but will NOT put you to sleep. What a master musician!
