Heads-up! Buy the DVD/CD Combo Instead!,

Great concert by the Robinson Brothers, but I wanted to let Amazon customers know that there is a DVD/CD combo over in the DVD section (same title: "Brothers of a Feather") that is selling for cheap. Same CD as this listing, but you get the DVD too and with more tracks. Great deal!

I usually don`t take the time to review something for a site like this, as many others usually do a good job........but I have to write about this masterpiece........Nowhere else today can you find music being made with this much devotion & realness, I could go on with track by track analysis, but there is no need here.......if your`re borderline on buying this cd....do not hesitate.

Powerful music!,

I just got this CD from a friend of mine, and having not been familiar with the Robinson brothers or Black Crowes, I didn't really know what to expect. From the first song forward, I was mesmerized - this music is incredibly real, incredibly candid, and incredibly soulful. I'm not sure whether to call it rock, blues, folk, or a mix thereof, but it's as intimate as music gets - just two guys with guitars and some backup singers, no effects, no gimmicks, no pretenses. Chris and Rich Robinson made excellent music here. In certain points of certain songs, they so reminded me of classic Led Zeppelin sound - the singing of Robert Plant and the guitar of Jimmy Page - and yet, they have a style here that's distinctly their own. This is a truly superb work, and I recommend any blues, rock, and folk fans to check this album out.
