5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Bronislau Kaper soundtrack released in grand style!
This is the first release of this Soundtrack and Film Score Monthly has as usual, done and outstanding job with this release.

Bronislau Kaper as a child loved the novel on which this movie is based and while in Berlin in 1931 regretted the inability to work on the production of an earlier film version.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not one of his best
This soundtrack was a bit of a disappointment in that it had a lot of short cues with no memorable theme as far as I`m concerned. There was some good gypsy music (source material), but I don`t think Kaper wrote it because it was uncredited.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Bronislau Kaper soundtrack released in grand style!, February 15, 2010
This review is from: The Brothers Karamazov [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] (Audio CD)
This is the first release of this Soundtrack and Film Score Monthly has as usual, done and outstanding job with this release.

Bronislau Kaper as a child loved the novel on which this movie is based and while in Berlin in 1931 regretted the inability to work on the production of an earlier film version.

Jump ahead some 27 years later and Bronislau Kaper is one of the top composers in Hollywood and he gets his chance to paint the musical canvas of this film.

An incredible soundtrack it includes the complete underscore as well as bonus tracks of source music which include various folk tunes and gypsy dances.

Not to be missed although at this late date you have limited opportunities to pick up this CD since it was limited to a run of 3,000 copies.
