Sweet and suspenseful,

I read this a long time ago, but there's a moment that still comes to mind at times. After they're injured in some way, the hero kisses the girl very carefully as not to hurt her. It shows her thoughts then about how he is trying to keep from hurting her physically or hurting her heart. I don't know why, but I loved that. :) Don't worry, there are other sweet moments I didn't give away!

This is another of Valerie Hansen's wonderful books set in the Ozarks. It has mystery, suspense and romance with a little humor thrown in for good measure.
