Editorial Reviews

2013 collaboration. As children, the music of The Everly Brothers touched Dawn McCarthy and Bonnie Billy; it touches Dawn's children and the little "prince" within Bonnie today, and makes them dance and sing. What The Brothers Sang is no mere gesture of nostalgia; these new versions rethink The Everly Brothers for the audience of listeners today, people who naturally might have no knowledge or experience with those songs. Why should they? It's not everyone who trawls through the dust of the past for their pleasures. Most of us live today and so, for today, these songs are made.

This is such a great record that I'll give it the ultimate compliment: At thirteen (13) tracks, it seems far too short! Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Bonnie "Prince" Billy Just Keeps Getting Better and Better!
I'm continually impressed by BPB. It's rare that an artist will continue to put out great works throughout his whole career. I see no end to Will Oldham's greatness. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great effort by these artists
I recommended this cd for anyone who like good music. May the Everly's sound continued into the late 21th century.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best things I've heard in my 28 years of life.
When I tried a demo song from this CD, I liked it. I got the CD and listened to two times in a row. It feels very 70s - 80s. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A good, if not perfect, album
This is a good album overall with some great highlights, but also some weaknesses. It is a collection of songs which were recorded by the Everly Brothers, and Prince Billy and Dawn... Read more
