5.0 out of 5 stars Coincedence turned love, September 14, 2002
Did he know something they failed to see? In this romance of a widow and her brother-in-law, it seems to be just that. It warms your heart with love and spirit as they struggle to make the marriage work.

Should a young widow and her brother-in-law marry at a reguest in the first husband's will? Is this Biblical concept meant for today? Is marrying for convenience enough? The stuggles encountered by this couple are quite moving. Each seeks honor, but each finds the desires of their heart in the process. A good read!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Second Chance at Love, October 31, 2002

Daniel had married Lily, so Mason stayed away. Years had passed and Daniel had died. The last thing in his will was a request that his widdow and brother marry. They do, but aren't sure what to expect. Lily's falling more and more for her new husband, but she thinks that's disloyal to Daniel. Mason had already fallen for her a long time before. Then, Mason's missing father shows up. He had left years before without a good bye or explaination. Mason has no interest in seeing him. He isn't given the choice when his wife takes in his dad. As time passes his dad's story comes out and the relationship there slowly mends. When Lily finds out she is pregnant she is not sure what to do. She feels even more disloyal to Daniel, because she thinks maybe if she had loved him more (not to say she didn't love Daniel, but only that she has come to love Mason more in her mind than Daniel) she would have been able to give Daniel a child. It takes an accident to get them talking. I'm sure you'll love this story. I did and do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book's Better than the Title!, January 10, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: His Brother's Wife (Ever After Love Inspired Collection) (Mass Market Paperback)
I don't partically care for this title, and was a bit leery about this book but it turned out wonderfully!

This book is about a woman (Lilly) who is newly widowed. At the start of the book, it had been a week since her husband had died, and then her brother-in-law, Mason, is there. They go to hear the will read together, and discover that Lilly's late husband had a strange request: He uses the Bible to request that Lilly and Mason marry...

It takes some time for both to come around, but they finally decide that is the best for them. But the marriage starts out rocky when on their wedding night, Mason's long-absent father shows up! And to make matters worse, Mason doesn't want him there but Lilly does. You want to talk about sparks flying!

This was a book about discovery of love. Mason was wonderful the way he paid off all her bills and made sure the house would always be in her name. Happy endings is what this story is about, but things must get pretty bad before they get good!

The pregnancy was a nice touch, as was what happened soon after it. God knows how to bring those in love together, and the author did a beautiful job romancing a marriage of convenience.
