Review

To celebrate more than 100,000 sales, Brown Eyes will be 99 cents for a limited time!!!!!!!!!!

This sequel was great! Take an afternoon and read this whirlwind adventure.  I found myself almost crying at one point, then gasping at another, and finally saying out loud OH MY GAWD!!  Alston and Ramey did a phenomenal job on this sequel and I can't wait to get my hands on the final one, "Angel Eyes."  --Julie, The Readiacs

I LOVE this story.  It has been a long time since I have felt so many emotions on such a deep level while reading a book!  Kudos for coming up with such a fresh twist on witches and vampires. I cannot wait until the finale comes out in August.  --Anna Lee, from Smashwords

Brown Eyes is the second book in Alston & Ramey's The Forever Trilogy and was a sheer pleasure to read. This novella packed such a punch that for a minute I couldn't believe I had finished.  I found the story so dramatic that many times I found myself on the edge of my seat. Literally!! --Gothic Mom's Book Reviews

I love reading the magical-power-in-action in this book, telling events through the seeing grey eyes, now that she's embraced her angelic self. The story tells about the conflicted feelings of being a sixteen year old 'witch-angel', much like how any 16-year old would feel or think given her situation. Inexperienced, scared, overwhelmed, conflicted, unwise, immature. It's a really nice magical story. I can't wait to see the third book in August.

Even though I was disappointed with how short this novella was, I found this new installment to be wonderful! Thankfully, the editing problems from the first book were mostly gone, and the stoyline continues. With only a relative few chapters, Brown Eyes packs an emotional punch & a twist in the end. I loved the book and devoured it as soon as a got a it. For .99 cents, it's a steal!

Good follow up characters were not developed enough, left too much hanging to (hopefully!) be finished in the third book. Otherwise great short story plot and characters were believable and tied up some loose ends from the first book. Can't wait for the next one!

I love this book! The plot and characters are superb! But I do sometimes wonder if they have any editors, I find quite a few grammar and spelling mistakes :\ but it's still a lovely book! It always kept me guessing!

OK maybe three... :)
Sometimes I'm thrown when a Novella can pack a powerful punch! This sequel was great! I was left a little disappointed that it was so short, but not disappointed in the story itself.
Ana finds herself in a huge contraversy; does she stay and fight the vampires after seeing an image of the future or does she take a chance and make a run for it, hoping they will follow her and leave her town people at peace? With her decision to stay true to Darren, Ana still finds herself thinking constantly of Tristin and reaching out to his mind, when she knows she shouldn't.
Take an afternoon break and read this whirlwind adventure. I found myself almost crying at one point, then gasping at another and finally saying out loud OH MY GAWD!! Alston and Ramey did a phenominal job on this sequel and I can't wait to get my hands on the final one "Angel Eyes".

I read posts from other people like I always do before buying a book, and even tho a lot of the readers were disappointed i thought that's this little part of this series was important and I just had to read what happened next after reading the first book. I loved that the author started right where we left off in the first book. Granted it was very short, read it in about 45 minutes, but still i absolutely enjoyed it. It brought in a little something like sneak previews do for movies or shows that leaves you wanting more. So don't get Discouraged by other comments because it's totally worth it! Can't wait to see what happens next!

I thought I was buying a full book. I was done reading it in a few hours. I wish I had understood that. That being said it continued the series and it was good. It would have gotten a higher rating if it was a full book

Today's review is on Brown Eyes by Quinteria Ramey

Brown Eyes is the second book in Ramey's The Forever Trilogy and was a sheer pleasure to read. This novella packed such a punch that for a minute I couldn't believe I had finished. I found the story so dramatic that many times I found myself on the edge of my seat. Literally!!

Ana now has all of her memories back, and not to soon. The vampires are declaring war against the witches of Brighton in retaliation for the "murder" of one of their own. And though she receives a message from London giving her three days before the attack, it seems the vampires have a timeline all their own.

With the fate of Brighton weighing heavily on her, Ana chooses to leave the safety of the haven to possibly draw the vampires away. This however is not what happens in the end. Nearly all hope is lost as she makes contact with Darren and see's what's happening through his eyes. Everyone is dying, even him. In the end she has done what she always has. She ran away with Tristan.

There were quite a few mistakes in Brown Eyes that should have been picked up by the editor, and that is one of my pesky pet peeves. I actually can't wait for the next book to come out next month. I hope it lives up to this one.
