4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but shouldn't have been on The Fame, September 7, 2009
This review is from: Brown Eyes (MP3 Download)
While a beautiful ballad, I feel as though Brown Eyes shouldn't have been on 'The Fame' because it's the one song that sounds nothing like the others. A bluesy ballad like this is lost within the tides of pop, electronica and trance that dominate GaGa's debut album, which makes it stand out in an unpleasant way. Like I said, the bluesy/jazz style thrown in with the pop and electronica does nothing for a beautiful song like this.

All in all, I really do like the song, but I don't think it should have been on 'The Fame,' if only because it's so radically different from the other songs on 'The Fame.'
