About the Author

A graduate of Delhi University, University of Pennsylvania and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Prasenjit Gupta currently lives in Iowa. He writes fiction in English and translates fiction and poetry from Hindi and Bengali into English. His translation of Nirmal Verma's short stories, entitled Indian Errant, was published to much critical acclaim in 2001.
