Love it,

My favorite band of all time is Less than Jake. I also support Mike Park and his views on racisism. I have skankin pickle and the chinkees which are bands that mike park takes part in. When i heard my favorite band teamed up with a man i really respect and love his music..i knew i had to have it. This cd is great and doesnt get old. you can tell that less than jake and mike park formed it because of the blending of their two sounds and styles together...it really creates a great sound...get it now if you love music or ska.

If you like punk/ska you will love this CD. It has many great ska songs and then it has a couple of hilarious songs sung by Mike Park to his acoustic guitar. If you like Less than Jake or Skankin' Pickle you will love this CD because the group is composed of the band from Less than Jake and the singer from Skankin' Pickle. This CD dominates and you should buy it.

K, I have known of this cd for years. But it wasn't til I found out who is in the band that I decided to buy it. Skankin Pickle and LTJ are two of my fav ska bands. I dunno how I didn't know that they got together to do this but I finally got my hands on it. You can totally notice the LTJ style in the guitars and horns. If you like great ska, LTJ, SKankin Pickle, or really great ska in general then definitley buy this.

The cultural significance of track number 16, don't sit next to me, is anthropologically invaluable. The underlying themes of being Asian American are beautifully disguised beneath the seemingly flippant lyrics.

mike park's new band,

The Bruce Lee band is the awesome combination of Less than Jake and Skankin' Pickle vocalist (and ska/punk legend) Mike Park! They play catchy ska/punk reminiscent of older Less than Jake, but are unmistakably the product of Mike Park's song writing skills. Most of the songs are ligh-hearted and funny, with a few exceptions ("Brother, brother," "Standing up for Justice.") Basically, if you're a fan of Skankin' Pickle or Less than Jake, then you should definitly buy this. Oh yeah, and there's a ton of hidden stuff too (Less than Jake's cover of the Gilligan theme song and more!)

Ah, rockin tunes of '97... a time when you didn't have to out fashion or out tough the hardcore kid next to you.
Bruce Lee Band is basically the dude who started Asian Man Records out of his mom's garage, backed by Less than Jake. This is killer, hilarious, fun, and witty pop in a punk vein... the only thing "ska" 'bout this one is a little brass accompaniment, actually a ton of kick azz horns. Every song is wrapped up within the 2 minute range, and can cause severe head-stuckery and good times. Songs about brady bunch episodes in first person, about Korean family life, racism (duh), sanity, and there's even hidden track written about spike from Degrassi Jr. High (if memory serves)! If Mr. Asian Man and co. decided to make this in 2008 for the broody pop punk fans of the Inter-web generation, they'd be millionaires... but then probably give the money to a worthwhile cause... because, who are we kiddin here, dudes who play ska punk are always in good moods... and why wouldn't they be, with such catchy tunes... they just want to bowl, and skank, and not be racist.... Buy this goddamn gem and then write Asian Man Records and tell them you get "it."

AWESOME SKA PUNK BY THE RPM'S,
By
This review is from: New World Chivalry (Audio CD)
I FIRST HEARD THIS BAND IN '98' WHEN MY FRIEND PUT TOGETHER A BENEFIT COMP TAPE AND 78 RPM'S SENT HIM THERE EP 'GO'. I LOVED IT, REAL CATCHY PUNK ROCK/SKA BUT NOT IN A MEANINGLESS CORPORATE SENSE, INSTEAD UNLIKE MOST OF THE WASHED OUT BANDWAGON PUNK THAT SEEMS TO BE TAKING OVER THIS BAND ACTUALLY HAD SOMETHING TO SAY. ANYWAY 'NEW WORLD OF CHIVALRY' DOESNT LET DOWN AND PICKS UP WHERE 'GO' LEFT OF WITH SLOW SKA AND FAST AGRESSIVE PUNK ROCK AND OH YE, FAST SKA AND SKA/PUNK.THEY REMIND ME OF A MUCH COOLER MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES WITH A BIT OF LINK 80 (OLD LINK 80 WHEN NICK WAS STILL ALIVE, R.I.P) THROWN IN FOR GOOD MEASURE. I'D LOVE TO HAVE SEEN THIS BAND LIVE BUT I THINK THEY SPLIT, IT'S VERY HARD GETTIN INFO ON THEM AS THEY WERE PRETTY UN-KNOWN. STAND OUT TRACKS I WOULD SAY ARE- 1.this day, 2.conviction, 3.i didnt know i had a choice- BUT ALL OF THIS ALBUM IS ROCKIN. IT'S PROBABLY WORTH SAYIN THAT A FEW MEMBERS OF THIS BAND WHERE IN SKA LEGENDS 'SKANKIN PICKLE' SO IF YOU LIKED THEM GET HOLD OF ANYTHING BY 78 RPM'S IF YOU CAN. ANYWAY HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS THEM GET A FEW MORE FANS AND DOES 'NEW WORLD OF CHIVALRY' JUSTICE. PEACE AND LOVE FROM THIS LONDON PUNK ROCKER. P.S I CANT SPELL
