WARNING: This is not a box containing a remastered collection of tunes representing an overview of Springsteen's career. This three CD boxed set contains Springsteen INTERVIEWS. On the box it says, "This is a spoken word product and contains no original music by the artist. It is not authorized by the artist, his record company or management."

Truth in advertising, guys ;-) ' as you well know, "boxed set" implies music, as does your introductory email outreach, 'as someone who has purchased Bruce's MUSIC in the past' etc. etc..

This "set" is a compilation of exceptional interviews with Bruce over the years ' a worthy effort on its own, with no need for confusing bait-and-switch marketing tactics.

My caption does not refer to the product but to the effort of Aamzon Marketing to fool its customers. Most Springsteen fans are quite knowledgable and know what is out there in terms of CDs, box sets and other compilation. Thats why, this one struck me as odd so I checked it out. As the other reviewers describe, it is "unauthorized spoken word" and not a CD Box Set of tracks. I hope times are not so tough at Amazon, that we will be subject to such venal marketing practices frequently.

How terrible to be mislead this way...no music? ANd no MENTION of music? Sheesh, Amazon...

This sure sounds (pun intended) like The Boss's first manager's, Mike Appel, type of scam. Artist get no residuals for spoken word, folks. This is all going to a scam.

They have started advertising these "boxed set" and "special collections" in their email and link ads, trying to get you to trust them, and then making NO mention of the actual product! This has been happening a lot lately. I'm not sure why they feel the need to start ruining their reputation by deceiving people, but there you have it. So now it's this Springsteen "Boxed Set", which is nothing but a collection of interviews- some bad, some decent - over the years, disguised as an artist retrospective. BEWARE. Shame on you, Amazon.

As a Springsteen nutter, I bought this item to add to my Springsteen Collection.

If I was new to Springsteen and bought this item with the idea of getting a variety

of Bruce's music, I would be very disappointed.

Unless you live in USA or Europe, where Bruce seems to think the "World" is, there is not much variety on Bruce in the main stream media, except for a couple of songs from Bruce's 1985 era. This is an interest item for the collectors.

Booo to Amazon's marketing idiots. Who are you fooling? Yourselves? This isn't music...

I can't stand artist interviews...even when they feature artists I love. There's nothing more boring than a musician rambling on the radio when all I want to hear is the music.
