I heard Bruckner being played at the Chicago Symphony and I enjoyed it so much I bought this album. Its sound and tone are equal to that I heard at the symphony. It is excellent

Stunning Bruckner from Houston,

Eschebach and the Houston Symphony give us a performance that is simply stunning. The orchestra plays like the Berlin Philharmonic under Karajan. The work itself may not be Bruckner's greatest, but it is very enjoyable and shows the linkage to Schubert's glorious 9th symphony. This is a recording not to be missed.
