Bruder MB Actros Tow Truck With Cross Country Vehicle

My son received this Bruder tow truck with Jeep when he turned three. After nearly a year he plays with it every day. He puts the Jeep through different scenarios - it can be dragged by front wheels, lifted by crane, lifted by wheel clamp/chain mechanisms. The flat bed tilts up, the cab tilts forward to expose the engine. It is surprisingly realistic. The plastic is light weight but nothing has broken. The best part (for me) is that it makes no sound effects. It is kept indoors.

My four year old grandson's eyes opened wide when he saw this fantastic truck. It is sturdily built and offers many opportunities for imaginative play. Only drawback is the rather stiff plastic hooks and chains for loading the jeep.

My six year old wanted a tow truck more than anything. He is not rough with toys. The pieces of the tow truck started to break off within a half hour of him receiving it; the plastic is so flimsy and thin that you can bend it. It is absolutely not durable, especially for this price. We returned it, and bought a tonka tow truck, and it is much more durable.

My son got this toy for Christmas. He plays with it all the time. The neatest thing about it is that there are so many other construction toys in the line that share the same detail and scale. My son is 6 and never tires of these (nearly 2 months now).

This truck breaks too easily to be used by the sturdy little boys who enjoy this kind of toy.

My son opened this truck a few hours ago for his birthday. Within 20 minutes, the crane part was broken. The plastic parts are already stretched out and broken. VERY disappointed!

I bought this truck as well as the rear-loader garbage truck for my son last Christmas. He plays with both trucks just about everyday. He's going to be 4 in a couple months, and comes up with different scenarios while playing with the trucks. He absolutely loves them and I plan on getting at least one more this Christmas. I was skeptical at first, because of the cost, but even though they're lightweight, they're very durable and very realistic.

Bruder makes good stuff. My grandson has the dump truck and loves it so much that I bought him this one. He is thrilled. The three star durability rating is because some of the moving parts in the crane may not hold up to rough play, but so far so good.

I bought my grandson the Bruder tow truck. It was a very nice tow truck and has alot of pieces for snapping chains to wheels to hoist the jeep (included) onto truck. My grandson, who is 4, I think is a little young for grasping the snap on idea, but he still gets the use of the hook, and uses it to hook on. I think it would have been nicer to have a hook and roped pulley sort of thing so it would be easier for the younger child to use. He does enjoy it though...everytime I go for a visit..its in the middle of the room...so it must be in a constant state of use. I know he will grow into the extra parts, I just worry since that they are loose from the truck that they will get lost..that part of the design is not its best feature.

am currently looking at other Bruder trucks.
